Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli are the most adored couple in the tinsel town. They have entered into marital bliss after tying the knot on December 11, 2017, in an intimate destination wedding. Later, the couple was blessed with a baby girl, on January 11, 2021, whom they have named, Vamika Sharma Kohli.
As Vamika turned a year older, on January 12, 2022, her mommy dearest, Anushka Sharma had shared a picture from her daughter's first birthday party. In the candid picture, the mommy-daughter duo had twinned in white outfits for the birthday bash. Anushka could be seen holding Vamika in her arms as they had shared an adorable moment with each other. While Anushka had deleted the picture immediately, her fan pages were quick to take a screenshot of the same. Sharing the picture, atop it, Anushka had written:
“My baby girl.”

On March 16, 2022, Anushka Sharma was spotted with her hubby, Virat Kohli and their one-year-old daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli, outside the YRF(Yash Raj Films) Studios, Mumbai. The doting mommy was seen wearing a light-white-coloured dress and paired it with her open tresses. On the other hand, Virat looked dapper in a black shirt, and the little munchkin looked cute as a button in two ponytails.
Anushka and Virat have maintained tight security around their daughter, Vamika's face. Even though they had issued a statement dedicated to the paparazzi for keeping their daughter's privacy, on January 23, 2022, the broadcasters of the India Vs South Africa match in Cape Town had given a glimpse of Vamika. They had panned the camera to the stands where Anushka and their daughter were cheering for Virat, revealing the baby girl's face. The pictures and videos had gone viral, and Vamika’s cuteness had broken the internet. People had started comparing how she looked exactly like her father, Virat.

Reacting to Vamika's viral pictures and videos on the internet, on January 24, 2022, Anushka Sharma had shared a statement about the same on her IG stories. As Anushka and Virat have been asking everyone not to click their daughter, Vamika’s pictures and circulate them online, the mommy had talked about the same. Sharing that they were caught off guard as she had no clue that the camera was on them, and how she still wants people not to click Vamika, Anushka had written:
“Hi guys! We realise that our daughters images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didnt know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you!”
On December 29, 2021, the paps had spotted Anushka Sharma in the stands cheering for her husband, Virat Kolhi, along with their daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli. Vamika had looked beyond adorable in a white dress with two pigtails, while Anushka had worn a black dress. Vamika’s face was hidden with a heart emoji as the paps had obliged to the decision of Virat and Anushka to not reveal their daughter’s face.
As the paps were following Anushka and Virat’s request, the actress had thanked them for the same. On December 19, 2021, Anushka had taken to her Instagram stories and had thanked the paps and the media houses for maintaining their privacy and not publishing Vamika's pictures or videos. An excerpt from her gratitude note could be read as:
“We are deeply thankful to the Indian paparazzi and most of the media fraternity for not publishing pictures/videos of Vamika. As parents, our request to the few who carried the images/video will be to support us going forward.”
