The Mumbai police had claimed that Sushant had died due to suicide. Something seemed fishy, and that's when his fans created a revolution and tried probing for a CBI enquiry. Now, it looks like the truth will come out, and justice will prevail as Sushant's family had filed an FIR against his alleged girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. It was reported that a team of Bihar police had arrived in Mumbai to investigate the matter and the late actor's former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande has also been questioned.
According to a report by Zee News, Ankita was interrogated by Bihar police, and it was during the interrogation when the actress shared about a conversation she had with Sushant in the year 2019. It was during the release of her film, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi that the two had gotten the chance to talk. Ankita told the cops that Sushant had messaged her to wish her luck for the film, during which he had gotten emotional. He had told Ankita that he is "quite unhappy in the relationship and wanted to end it as Rhea harassed him. The actress has shared the chat between Sushant and Ankita with the Bihar Police along with the other exchanges they had regarding Rhea.
Ankita and Sushant had dated for six years, and the ex-lovers had a strong connection. Even after the breakup, Sushant had always wished well for Ankita and vice versa. And that's the reason why Ankita has been devastated after the untimely demise of Sushant. After the late actor's family had filed an FIR against Rhea, Ankita had shared a cryptic post on her IG handle. She had posted a picture which could be read as "Truth Wins". Sushant's sister, Shweta Singh Kriti had also commented on it and had written, "God is always with the truth". On July 28, 2020, Sushant's father, KK Singh had filed an FIR and had accused Rhea of abetment to suicide, alleging that she had cheated his son financially and mentally harassed him. A four-member team of Patna Police is in Mumbai to probe the case. Payal Rohtagi had taken to her Twitter handle and had shared a copy of the FIR and wrote, "#SushantSinghRajput's father files FIR against #RheaChakraborty blaming her for Sushant's suicide.
