Talking about her personal life, PeeCee is happily married to pop singer, Nick Jonas and they are blessed with a baby girl, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Gadar 2 director, Anil Sharma opened up about Priyanka Chopra. Talking about her, the filmmaker recalled the time when the actress was all set to make her Bollywood debut with the film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. Anil Sharma revealed that after signing Priyanka, he left for abroad, and after he came back, he was not able to recognise her. Adding that she looked "terrible" after her nose surgery, Anil said:
"She looked terrible, she was so dark, what in the world had she done to herself. I summoned her immediately, and she came over the next day with her mother."

In the same interview, Anil stated that Priyanka and her mother were in tears. He revealed that the mother-daughter duo told him that the operation was for PeeCee's sinus problem, which left a mark under her nose. Revealing that Priyanka was dropped from many projects because of her nose surgery, Anil said:
"They were in tears, they told me about the operation, which had even left a mark under her nose. It's still there to this day. They said it would take months to heal, and that Priyanka had been dropped from several projects she'd already signed."
Further, Anil Sharma added that after the tragic incident, Priyanka had decided to return to Bareilly. She had even offered to return her signing amount back to the filmmaker. Mentioning that despite everything, he stood by her, and called a makeup artist to hide her scars, Anil said:
"Priyanka was depressed. She had decided to return to Bareilly and return after some months, and was offering her signing amount back to me."
Earlier, in an interview with SiriusXM’s show, The Howard Stern Show, Priyanka had opened up about her personal struggles. Talking about the same, she recalled the time when she had a botched nose surgery. The actress revealed that her surgery had gone wrong, and it almost ended her career. Calling it a dark phase, Priyanka said that she was devasted and depressed. Elaborating more on it, she said:
"It was a dark phase. This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression."
