Angelina Jolie officially has an empty nest with her two youngest children all set to find their own paths as adults. According to reports, the actress' twins, Vivienne and Knox, turned 18 on July 12, 2026. And now, the gorgeous actress is all set to "experience the world" with them and move on from their life in California, a source tells PEOPLE. The insider revealed that Jolie has wanted to leave LA for a while now, and with her youngest being adults, she is excited to have more freedom and flexibility for herself. The insider was quoted as saying:
"She's been talking about leaving Los Angeles for years. She's happy to have more freedom and flexibility in her life."
For the unversed, Angelina Jolie shares six children with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. The couple's oldest, Maddox, is 24, followed by Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 20; and the twins, Vivienne and Knox, both now 18. The Mr and Mrs Smith co-stars parted ways in 2016 after being together for 12 years and two years of marriage, finalizing their divorce in December 2024. And the kids have been the actress' priority. The insider reflected on Jolie's future plans and said:
"The kids have always been her priority. [Jolie] has wanted them to experience the world and she's excited that they can all do more of that together now. She's ready for it."

Previously, in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter in August 2024, Angelina Jolie said that while she "grew up in" Los Angeles, she was living in the city "because I have to be here from a divorce." She also mentioned Vivienne and Knox during the conversation and said, "As soon as they're 18, I'll be able to leave." She added:
"When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here. [After Los Angeles,] I'll spend a lot of time in Cambodia. I'll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world."
It was in May 2026 that Angelina Jolie officially listed her California compound, formerly owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, for sale for USD 29.85 million. For the unversed, Jolie and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, have been in a heated legal battle over Château Miraval since 2022.
