Angelina Jolie Gives A Shocking Update About Her Love Life After Split From Brad Pitt A Decade Ago

Angelina Jolie has been grabbing the limelight ever since she indulged in a legal battle with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, since their divorce in 2016. Now the Salt actress has made a rare confession about her love life. The gorgeousness, who welcomed six children with Brad (biological and adopted), has revealed who is the love of her life currently.

Angelina is busy promoting her new film, Couture, in which she plays American filmmaker Maxine Walker. Her character in the film is diagnosed with breast cancer while working at Paris Fashion Week. Just like her own life, the character she plays in the film embarks on a romance, and Angelina reflects on the same.

During the promotional spree, Angelina spoke about her own love life and revealed that she hasn’t dated anyone since her split from Brad Pitt. Speaking about the same, she shared:

“To be candid, I haven't dated since I divorced a decade ago. So I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centered in my life if I'm focusing on my children, my family.”

Angelina Jolie is encouraged by her kids to embrace life beyond motherhood

Angelina has remained devoted to her children since her separation from Brad. But now her kids are adults, they are encouraging her to embrace life beyond motherhood. The actress also admitted that she is in the process of rediscovering herself after a long legal battle, which kind of broke her from inside. She said:

“It's coming back in large part thanks to my children, who are now older, and encouraging it. I'm thinking I have to live again. Be free again. In a way that maybe life has broken me a little bit."

It was during the making of the romantic action film, Mr. & Mrs Smith in 2004, when rumours about Brad Pitt's alleged link-up with Angelina Jolie began. After a decade of dating, Brad and Angelina married in 2014. However, in 2016, she filed for a divorce from him citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’ The duo had an eight-year running battle over the custody of their kids and family assets, which was finalised earlier this year. The former couple are parents to Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and 17-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

How Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce turned ugly?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce battle turned extremely ugly when details about their marital life surfaced. In a court filing, Jolie allegedly stated that Pitt tried to abuse her physically. He had grabbed her by her head and shaken her. Not only this, she claimed that he even choked one of their children and struck another one who came to protect her. 

The allegations of abuse first made headlines shortly after the flight that they had taken in 2016. But the details were initially kept sealed. A source also cited that Pitt’s ‘anger issues’ led to the couple’s split. Brad’s aggressive behaviour with the kids began after his altercation with Angelina on a private jet. He verbally slammed Jolie and physically assaulted her. But when one of her children came running to protect her, Pitt lunged at his own children, while choking one and hitting another in the face.
