While everyone was busy drooling over Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja’s wedding ceremonies, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi surprised the nation with their wedding announcement. On May 10, 2018, Neha and Angad called on ‘forever’ in a hush-hush Anand Karaj ceremony in the capital. Soon after they posted their wedding pictures on social media, congratulatory comments of their friends from the industry started pouring in, which proved that the wedding was kept a secret from them as well. Their hush-hush secret wedding sparked the speculations of Neha’s pregnancy, to which Angad later denied at an awards event. Speaking about the same, Angad had said that he will inform the media and fans whenever it happens. They will tell everyone when they start a family, but as of now, they want to concentrate on their work and buying a home.
And now in an interview with Zoom, Angad once again addressed his wife’s pregnancy conjectures, and stated, “If someone wants to say something, I am not here to comment on anybody's statement. Everybody has a right to their opinion, I feel whenever we want to make anything public, we will as a couple- whether it's our personal front or professional work- whatever we want to share, we will willingly come forward and do that.”
The Tiger Zinda Hai actor further added, “We shared our wedding pictures but if we want to keep it private then that's how it will be done. It's not that we hid anything from anybody, we tweeted ourselves. There are certain calls that we should make as a couple and there are certain things as a family we want to keep private, we will keep private.”
Talking about keeping their wedding a simple one, Soorma fame Angad went on to say, “I think we are used to so much of noise, everything becomes an event and we didn't want that. We wanted to keep it old school and considering we are public figures, sometimes we want some things to be left personal. So that's how we wanted to keep it- personal and simple. Speaking about the age gap trolls that targeted them after their marriage, Angad remarked, “There's only a 2 year age gap and it doesn't really matter. I feel that age is not a criterion. What is important is that there has to be immense love and respect for the partner and vice versa. If you get along, you get along. I don't know who made this age rule that somebody has to be older and the other person has to be younger. I feel if you think it's right, you should just do it.”
Angad is all praise for his life-partner Neha, and stated, “It's been very good, it's blissful. I have had a very supportive partner in Neha. She's been in the industry for more than 15 years and she has a fair enough understanding of how the movie business works and functions. She's been a very strong pillar of strength and support.” Even proud wifey is all compliments about her hubby’s performance in Soorma. After the screening of the film, Neha tweeted, “I am so so so proud of you my love @Imangadbedi.. the way you gave life to the reel life @bikramjeet007 ... you are a rock solid, sincere and reliable as an actor just as you are as a husband”. Angad recently made it to the headlines when his ex-girlfriend Nora Fatehi refused to identify him let alone having a relationship with him. The Indo-Morrocan dancer and actress, Nora attended Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding with her then-boyfriend Angad, but when she was asked him in a recent interview, Nora stated, “Who is Angad? I don’t even know who Angad Bedi is.”
Apparently, Angad’s brewing closeness with Neha broke off his relationship with Nora. When asked the Dilbar girl about Angad’s marriage with Neha, she replied, “I never dated him, so I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have nothing to say about his wedding since I’ve never met him and I don’t care what’s happening in his married life.” When further probes to comment about her breakup with him, Nora went on to say, “There’s nothing really to say about this because we were never together, to begin with. And I am least bothered by all this stuff.”
She had further added, “I’m not the one creating the smoke and the fire, let’s put it this way. I’ve got my head down working hard while others are chasing other frivolous things”. Talking about Angad and Neha, Nora had quipped, “Honestly, I don’t care about Angad’s closeness to Neha. It really doesn’t concern me and I’ve got better things to worry about. I don’t care about who is close to whom and who chills with whom when it suits them. I don’t have time for all that. Everything is just fine. Reacting to Nora’s statements, Angad was quoted as saying, “I’m nobody to comment on anybody’s body of work or what they feel about any situation. All I want to look forward to is a good future in cinema. I’m actually more focused on the fact that I target better makers to work with and I want to go in that direction. I want to make a lot of time for my loving wife and hopefully, I have a better future as far as my work is concerned and that is the priority for me right now.”
