It was on May 10, 2018, when social media got stirred after a picture from Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s wedding had gone viral on social media. The two had gotten married in a secret Sikh wedding and it was later revealed that the hush-hush wedding was due to Neha’s pregnancy. On November 18, 2018, right after six months of their wedding, they were blessed with a baby girl, Mehr Dhupia Bedi. Ever since, the family has been riding high on life! In an interview with BollywoodLife, Angad Bedi opened up about how his daughter, Mehr Dhupia Bedi has brought luck in his life. Angad was quoted as saying, "My daughter Mehr is our (his and Neha Dhupia's) lucky charm. In fact, since the day she has come into our lives, our lives have changed for the better. She has brought a lot of luck."
Besides considering Mehr as his lucky charm, he also feels that his marriage with Neha too had turned out to be extremely fortunate for him. The actor remarked, "My marriage also brought in a lot of luck but my luck just got doubled after Mehr was born. I think I have lady luck which is shining on me. Whether it's my mother, wife or daughter, I think, this is the lady luck which is always shining on me. Even my sister, for that matter, is my lucky charm."
Earlier talking about Mehr in a media interaction, he had retorted, “Mehr’s father is in a happy space. She brings a lot of joy and laughter to our lives. Our home is complete now. Since she has come into our lives everything has changed for the better. Mehr has made both Neha and me better human beings. Further sharing how he manages to strike a balance between his personal and professional life, Angad had stated, “Neha and I, both have made a conscious decision to spend every waking hour with Mehr. We wake up early and spend as much time with her before we set off for our respective work. She’s turning out to be a very social child which is very heartening to see. She loves outdoor activities like going for a swim. She loves the water. We try and organise as many play dates for her as possible. She’s a happy baby.”
In the same interaction, Angad had also revealed how his bond has altered with Neha after the birth of Mehr. The Soorma actor had averred, “Bond hasn’t altered much. Keeping the time constraint in mind, we prioritise each other even more now. We try and spend evenings together. We both like doing the same things. Our interests are similar so whether it’s going out to eat, training, running or even traveling, we try to plan in advance. Life is the same, just more planned now. We are still in the honeymoon period of our relationship.”
