Bollywood’s dapper and handsome hunk, Angad Bedi had first seen his lovely wife, Neha Dhupia in the gym and he was impressed with her running skills. He had instantly fell in love with her, but Neha had taken 4 years to say yes to his proposal. And once the duo had accepted their feelings for one another, there was no looking back for them. They had tied the knot in an intimate and hush-hush ‘anand karaj’ ceremony in Delhi on May 10, 2018.
Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi are one such couple, who have wonderfully managed to hide their relationship from the media glares and their fans. Neha had taken everyone by surprise when she had shared pictures from her wedding and introduced her hubby with the world. On January 9, 2020, Neha took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures of herself and Angad, in the pictures Neha and Angad were seen engrossed in some conversation. In one of the pictures, Neha wrote, “with my favourite listener.” Angad reposted the same picture and wrote a hilarious reply which won our heart. He wrote, “Ek hi baat karta hai yahaan to!!”
Post tying the knot in an intimate ceremony, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi had released a joint statement announcing their wedding. The same could be read as “Marrying your best friend is one of the greatest feelings in the world, and we are extremely fortunate to have found love in each other. It has been a beautiful journey knowing each other and after formalizing the wedding earlier this year, today, we exchanged our vows in a beautifully simple, private and intimate Anand Karaj ceremony in Delhi. After their hush-hush wedding, Angad Bedi had announced the good news of Neha Dhupia’s pregnancy with the world by taking to his Instagram handle. Post the good news, there were rumours and speculations that the duo had a hush-hush wedding because of Neha’s pregnancy. In an interview with the Zoom, Angad had replied to all these and had said, “If someone wants to say something, I am not here to comment on anybody's statement. Everybody has a right to their opinion, I feel whenever we want to make anything public, we will as a couple- whether it's our personal front or professional work- whatever we want to share, we will willingly come forward and do that.”
Angad Bedi had added further, “We shared our wedding pictures but if we want to keep it private then that's how it will be done. It's not that we hid anything from anybody, we tweeted ourselves. There are certain calls that we should make as a couple and there are certain things as a family, we want to keep private, we will keep private.”
In an interaction with Humans of Bombay, Neha Dhupia had bared it all out about dating Angad Bedi and how their marriage happened. In the last few instances of their revelations, Neha had shared who pointed out to them that they are so meant to be with one another and how love happened, “Finally, at a party, Karan Johar took us aside & screamed, ‘Can you not see this?! Are you blind?’ You should’ve seen the look on Angad’s face. He had ‘I told you so!’ tattooed on his forehead. When we finally decided to get married, he didn’t go down on one knee & propose. He told me I’d already wasted 4 years & declared ‘Chalo Dilli!’ to meet his parents. Then he said, ‘Before you change your mind, pick an outfit because we’re getting married in 2 days!’ Earlier, I loved the set life. I wouldn’t give it up for anything. But now I look forward to coming home to him. I couldn’t imagine myself as someone who runs to the door, but when it’s time for him to come home, guess what I do?”
During the same interaction, Angad Bedi had revealed why their wedding was so private and low-key. He had shared, “I feel that our marriage was low-key because we wanted a low-key marriage. Because, when my father got married he had a very low-key wedding and he was the captain of India at that time.
