The Tate brothers' lawyer is gearing up for a major legal battle. According to TMZ, Andrew and Tristan Tate's lawyer is "100 percent" fighting extradition back to the United Kingdom. In a conversation with the news outlet, Joseph McBride, the Tate brothers' legal representation, said fighting extradition would be a high bar. However, he said he will argue that, under special circumstances, they should not be sent back.
Joseph McBride asserted that the Tate brothers were not a flight risk, and pointed to what he called Andrew and Tristan Tate's "total compliance with the courts over the past three years". According to the brothers' lawyer, the duo has not missed a single court date in either their Romanian human trafficking case or Palm Beach defamation case. However, the lawyer admitted that the brothers were "startled" when U.S. Marshals in plain clothes wearing vests and badges approached them.
Joseph McBride shared that Andrew and Tristan had not expected to be approached by law enforcement, referring to the Saturday, July 18, 2026 (ET) arrest, when U.S. Marshals ordered them to put their hands behind their backs. He added that it "doesn't feel good" for the brothers, who were jet-setting around and hanging out with supermodels on yachts, to suddenly find themselves in what he describes as a "smelly jail."
The report also revealed that Joseph McBride says they spent Sunday, July 19, 2026 (ET) in solitary confinement, calling it "cruel and unusual punishment." He further added that the U.S. Marshals told him they'll be moved into general population. For the unversed, the arrest took place after U.S. Marshals executed a U.K. extradition warrant seeking to return them across the pond. According to reports, the brothers are facing rape, human trafficking, and other alleged sex crimes there.
Joseph McBride even accused the United Kingdom authorities of "misusing the justice system, politically kidnapping and putting them in an English Gulag." While the brothers knew they would not be getting out of the prison after the Monday, July 20, 2026 (ET) hearing, they are now preparing for what Joseph has called a "meaningful fight."

Otherwise used to a luxurious lifestyle, the Tate brothers are not being given any special treatment in jail, reported TMZ. According to the report, while in federal lockup, Andrew and Tristan Tate are faced with some very dull meals amid their arrest. On late Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Marshals arrested the pair outside the James L. Knight Center, where IBA Bareknuckle 6 went down. The duo was soon transported to the federal jail in Miami, where the menu is far less appetizing than what the Tates prefer in their diets.
According to the report, on Sunday, the Tate brothers were served boiled eggs and peanut butter for breakfast, while their lunch included scrambled eggs, oven-brown potatoes, biscuits, jelly, creamy gravy, and peanut butter. Dinner didn't get any better, as the brothers were treated to a choice between meatloaf, a black bean burger, green beans, mashed potatoes, and brown gravy.
Monday morning came with the same breakfast of boiled eggs and peanut butter. However, things changed a bit during lunch when Andrew and Tristan were served a chili cheese baked potato and, for dinner, a chickpea burger.
