Ananya Panday and her mother, Bhavana Pandey have their hands full at the moment with their respective work commitments. While Ananya is busy filming for her debut web series, Call Me Bae, her mother, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of the third season of the reality series, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. Recently, the mother-daughter duo spoke at length about their relationship and their professional lives.
While conversing with the HT City Showstoppers, Ananya mentioned that her mother was very involved in her life. She said that Bhavana would often do her school projects and revise things while helping her learn poems and elocution. Moreover, the actress also revealed that she would share everything with her mom, even the smallest of things as Bhavana was a chill mom. Talking about how she would be lost without her mother’s involvement in her life, Ananya said:
“Not helicopter. In school, she was strict, involved in all my schoolwork. I was the first child, she would do all my projects. I wouldn't say I was pampered, but she would help me revise everything. My mom secretly wanted to become an actor, someone in the family told me, that's why she would get into my learning of poems and elocution. Also, I used to tell her everything, even the smallest of things. She was one of the more chill moms. She was involved when I started my career as an actor, I needed her. I would be lost if my mom was not there to help me. Now I think she has realised I am hopefully able to handle things myself.”

During the interview, Ananya and Bhavana talked about the dynamics they share as two working professionals in the same field. The latter said that after getting hands-on experience in the industry, she understood how taxing the acting profession is. Bhavana added that the actors not only need to look good all the time but also be good to everyone they meet. Meanwhile, Ananya said that as she and her parents are all working, they now talk less about work and more about their lives. In her words:
“Everyone at home is suddenly super busy, even my dad is doing films in Gujarati, Tamil, OTT shows. Mom's show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives has taken off. I am also working. When we are at home, we have started discussing work a lot less now. We talk about our lives more often.”

In the same interview, Bhavana was asked about her feelings on Ananya moving out of their house and living separately while her younger daughter, Rysa studies in the US. Ananya’s mother said that the actress wanted to move out as soon as she stepped into showbiz, but she opposed the idea back then and wanted her to concentrate on her work. Bhavana further added that she felt nervous when Rysa went to the US, but she realised that she should let her daughters fly. In her words:
“In the beginning, Ananya wanted to get her own space as soon as she entered films. I felt she should not take added responsibility right now. How many people are fortunate that they live in Mumbai, and have people looking after everything? She is fortunate she had those things. I felt she should take advantage of it and concentrate on just work. I was nervous in the beginning, but when Rysa went to the US, I realised I should let them fly, they will learn.”
On May 10, Bhavana Pandey took to her Instagram account and celebrated the completion of Ananya’s five years in the industry. She reshared a video from one of Ananya’s fan pages and penned a heartfelt note for her daughter. Bhavana beamed with immense pride as she wrote:
“You make us so proud. From Student of the Year 2 to Kho Gaye Hum Kahan! It’s been a wonderful journey!!!”
