On March 14, 2023, Ananya Panday attended her cousin, Alanna Panday's mehendi function, and in one of the pictures, she was spotted smoking a cigarette. As soon as the picture was shared on Reddit, netizens were left in utter shock as they couldn't believe their eyes. They started expressing their emotions regarding the shocking visual of Ananya smoking a cigarette and even trolled her for the same. While one user penned, “Meri ananya aisi nhi ho sakti,” another user commented, “Dimag toh nahi hota yinlogo ke paas. Sirf cool dikhna hai”.
