On March 5, 2020, Amitabh Bachchan took to his Instagram handle and has shared a monochrome picture of his best-half, Jaya Bachchan in the avatar of great Swami Vivekananda. The picture is a still from Jaya Bachchan’s Bengali film, Dagtar Babu, but the film had never reached the silver screen. In the picture, we can see Jaya Bachchan looking extremely serious and quite close to Swami Vivekananda’s look wearing the turban on her head and folded hands. This isn’t the first time when we are seeing Amitabh Bachchan sharing some throwback pictures or details about his time with his wife, Jaya Bachchan. Talking about the legendary couple, both Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were a hit pair back in the 70s. Both of them have starred in over dozens of films together and all the films had turned out to be huge box office successes. Soon after their on-screen story had started creating a major buzz in the industry, Amitabh ji and Jaya ji had taken the ultimate decision of taking their relationship to a whole new different level by marrying each other. It was on the fortunate day of June 3, 1973, when Jaya ji had omitted ‘Bhaduri’ from her surname and welcomed the ‘Bachchan’ in her life.
It has been almost 46 years that Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan have been living their ‘happily ever after’. For this, Amitabh ji had publicly thanked his wife for never missing an episode of the show.

In one of a ‘revelation blog’, Amitabh ji had shared that his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan had told him to get married and only then he could go on a holiday with his then ladylove, Jaya ji! Sharing the same, Amitabh ji had written, “I lived on the 7th Road of this society. On a rented house, marriage had been decided among us, nothing to be exaggerated or celebrated with any aplomb, just the two families and done off to London, my first trip ever and hers too. Zanjeer a success and a promise that if it did well we would all - a gang of our friends - would go on a holiday to London!
