Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan is riding high on the professional front, as he has been giving back-to-back powerful performances even in his 80s. Over the years, Big B proved his versatility and made us believe that his legacy is unparalleled, as no one can ever meet his standards. The veteran actor is hailed as the Shahehshah of Bollywood, and people worship him for the kind of person he is.
In a major turn of events, Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan got injured during the shooting of an action sequence for his upcoming film, Project K, in Hyderabad. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, and everyone was worried about his health. Amitabh Bachchan also underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and doctors advised him to rest as of now. The actor suffered a muscle tear in his right rib cage and is currently taking rest at his home in Mumbai.

The 80-year-old actor penned a blog post and shared details about his injury. Big B revealed that his rib cartilage popped on the set while he was filming an action shot and added that he received medical care in Hyderabad and is now recovering at his Mumbai home, Jalsa. Mentioning that the film's shooting had to be cancelled, Amitabh Bachchan shared that it will take him weeks to recover from the injury. He penned:
"In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. cancelled shoot .. did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain."
Amitabh Bachchan follows a ritual of meeting a sea of fans gathered at his residence, Jalsa, every Sunday, where he greets his fans and waves at them. Further in his blog, he advised his fans not to visit his bungalow on Sunday evening, as it would be difficult for him to see his fans outside Jalsa. He added:
"So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs. I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities .. but yes, in rest and generally lying around. It shall be difficult or let me say .. I shall be unable to meet, the well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming .. All else is well."

Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming film, Project K, is a fantasy drama featured in a futuristic world. Apart from Big B, the film stars Deepika Padukone as the lead lady alongside the Baabubali star, Prabhas. While Amitabh Bachchan is expected to play a key role in the film, Prabhas will reportedly be seen in a whole new avatar. Project K will hit the theatres in 2024. The multi-lingual film also stars Disha Patani, and if reports are to be believed, the film is based on the aftermath of World War 3.
