Now, Alia Bhatt has shared some unseen pictures from her mehendi ceremony, and we can't stop gushing over them!
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s mehendi ceremony had taken place at Ranbir's home, Vastu in Bandra on April 13, 2022. A report in the Hindustan Times had revealed that Alia had opted for a minimal bridal mehendi design instead of an elaborate one. Alia Bhatt's mehendi was done by the Chembur-based mehendi artist, Jyoti Chheda. The report had further added that Alia's design had featured tiny but well-designed circles, and the then-bride-to-be had also got an R (Ranbir Kapoor’s initial) and the digit, 8 (Ranbir's jersey number) etched on her palm.

On April 16, 2022, Alia Bhatt shared mesmerising glimpses from her mehendi ceremony on her IG handle. In the pictures, we can see the then-bride-to-be, Alia looking gorgeous in a pink-coloured lehenga paired with a strapped blouse with heavy embroidery all over it. On the other hand, her then-groom-to-be, Ranbir Kapoor complemented her in a matching kurta-pyjama. While one picture showed us Neetu and Ranbir dancing their hearts out, the other one showed Ranbir, holding a photo frame of his late father, Rishi Kapoor's portrait. We can also see Ranbir sitting on the ground while Alia sat behind him on a couch, and the couple looked adorable!
Sharing the pictures, Alia Bhatt penned a beautiful note in the caption, revealing how her mehendi ceremony was like a dream come true. The actress revealed that the ladkewalas, Kapoors and Ranbir gave special surprise performances for her. She also mentioned that she went through a rollercoaster ride of emotions that day. Her note can be read as:
"The Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a LOT of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr. Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs), all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are days… and then there are days like these!"

In a report by India Today, it was stated that Neetu Kapoor had got emotional at Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's mehendi ceremony as she had missed her husband, late Rishi Kapoor's presence. A source present at Alia-Ranbir’s mehendi ceremony had revealed that Neetu had got teary-eyed during the function after reminiscing the fond memories from her mehendi with Rishi Kapoor.
