Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon recently hit the headlines as they were honoured with the Best Actress National Award for their respective movies, Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi. Several glimpses from the ceremony have been going viral on social media, and fans are going gaga over the same. Meanwhile, Kriti also delighted her social media fans with some inside pictures from the award ceremony that took place in New Delhi.
On October 18, 2023, Kriti Sanon took to her Instagram stories and shared an adorable picture with Alia Bhatt. The picture showed the former was seen hugging Alia as the duo smiled for the camera. The actresses wore almost matching white-hued sarees, bun hairdos and stud earrings. Atop it, Kriti penned a note and revealed that the cute photo was clicked by Alia’s husband, Ranbir Kapoor. In the caption, Kriti wrote:
“Aliaaaa! @aliaabhatt Our smiles say it all! Will remember our moment we shared just before getting on stage. Ranbir did click a cute pic haan!”

Soon, Alia Bhatt also re-shared Kriti Sanon’s story on her Instagram handle and confirmed that the latter is her new neighbour. For the unversed, in July 2023, reports were rife that Kriti was on a house hunt in Mumbai. Well, it looks like she has finally found a house for herself in the Pali Hill area, where Alia and Ranbir reside with their baby girl, Raha. Reacting to Kriti's post, Alia wrote:
“Congratulation mimi…yesterday was so much more special cause of the moment we shared..lots of love neighbour..meet soon so Ranbir can take more pictures of us haha.”
Kriti Sanon was previously living in her Juhu apartment with her sister, Nupur Sanon and their parents. Later, in December 2021, she rented Amitabh Bachchan's Andheri apartment and shifted there. According to a Money Control report, the duplex apartment's rent was Rs. 10 lakhs per month for two years. The apartment is located on the 27th and 28th floors of the Atlantis building in Andheri West, Mumbai. Reportedly, Kriti paid an amount of Rs. 60 lakhs as the security deposit.

For the unversed, Kriti Sanon won her first Best Actress National Award at the 69th National Film Awards. For the unversed, Kriti was awarded with the Best Actress award for her impressive performance in the film, Mimi. The actress shared the award with Alia Bhatt, who won it for her stellar acting spree in the film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. After the awards winners were declared, Kriti posted a picture note on her Instagram handle. Sharing her thoughts about the win, Kriti penned:
"Elated, overwhelmed, grateful. Still sinking it in...pinching myself... this has actually happened. The National Award for the Best Actress for Mimi. Thank you to the jury who considered my performance worthy of the most prestigious award. It means the world to me."
On the work front, Kriti Sanon will be next seen in the film, Ganapath.
