Neither the actors nor their families have confirmed the news, however, the rumour mills are coming up with new stories on the much-awaited wedding of the season. Ever since Alia and Ranbir had made their relationship official, their fans have been eagerly waiting for nothing, but their union.
Ranbir and Alia's April wedding rumours had started when the duo was spotted with the famous bridal designer, Beena Kanan. In the photo, Alia had worn a cream-coloured ensemble while Ranbir had donned a blue-hued shirt. However, netizens were quick to ask whether wedding bells were around the corner. While one user had written, "Is it Wedding bells", another had commented, "It look likes wedding bells."

As per a close source to Ranbir and Alia, the adorable couple is all set to tie the knot on April 17, 2022. And now, as per the latest developments, a report in India Today stated that Alia's BFFs, Anushka Ranjan and Akansha Ranjan are planning a bachelorette for her. As per the report:
"Akansha and Anushka have been friends with Alia for the longest time. They are planning a special party for the actress ahead of her wedding to Ranbir. The party will most likely take place at Anushka's place. And the guest list includes Alia's childhood friends as well."
The reason behind Ranbir and Alia's hush-hush wedding is because of the poor health of her maternal grandfather. A source close to the couple had told ETimes that the wedding would take place in RK studios in Chembur and would be a close-knit affair. The source had informed:
"Alia's grandfather N Razdan wanted to see her getting married to Ranbir. A hush hush wedding has thus been planned on April 17 which will be a close knit family affair. The ceremony will be held at RK Studios and nothing extravagant has been planned yet."

In an interview with NDTV, Ranbir Kapoor had opened up about the speculations regarding his wedding rumours with his Brahmastra co-star, Alia Bhatt. He had admitted that soon the much-in-love duo would tie the knot. However, he didn't mention the date, and when he was asked about this, he had given a hilarious reply. He had said:
"Mujhe paagal kutte ne nahi kaata hai ki main media ko announce kardu date. But Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon."
Ranbir and Alia's pre-wedding ceremonies will reportedly kickstart on April 13, 2022.
