'Love Island USA' Season 8 Star, Alannah Keyser Allegedly Fired Following Racial Slur Controversy

Love Island USA fans had been demanding that the Miami native be removed from the villa following the video and comments of her using a racial slur resurfaced online. And it seems that the makers heard the fans loud and clear. In a conversation with The US Sun, an insider revealed that the producers had edited Alannah out of episodes as much as possible after they were already pre-taped. They added:

"Producers edited Alannah out as much as possible from episodes that were pre-taped before the resurfaced racial slur video was exposed. She couldn’t be removed completely, but her scenes were significantly trimmed down in Tuesday’s episode."

It was during the Tuesday, June 24, 2026 (ET) episode of the reality dating show that fans noticed that Alannah Keyser was not seen much on the screen and appeared to be edited out of multiple scenes. For the unversed, she had been garfting with Zach Georgiou after admitting that she'd already hooked up with his brother, Season 7 islander, Charlie Georgiou.

However, based on Zach Georgiou's chats with his co-stars in the latest episode, it appeared that their connection had already fizzled out. In the same conversation, the insider further shared that Alannah Keyser won't be a part of the episodes starting Thursday, June 25, 2026 (ET). The source revealed that the producers were not only disappointed but also embarrassed by the mishap. They were quoted as saying:

"Alannah was removed from the show early and will not be in episodes from Thursday onward. Producers were disappointed and embarrassed that this had become another mishap. They regret this has become another distraction from the crew’s hard work and the cast members who are there for the right reasons."

Social media users were also quick to dig up more instances when Keyser had used the N-word. In a resurfaced Instagram comment where she allegedly used the N-word again, as a pun for the word "Nigerian." It is unclear when either of these incidents took place, and production has not yet addressed the controversy. Alannah Keyser's father and friend have since come forward to defend her. However, it seems that wasn't enough for the makers to keep her on the show.
