However, while the drama unfolds inside the show, an equally intense drama is gaining pace outside. It all began with Keyser's introduction to the show on June 21, 2026 (ET), when fans eager to learn about the new addition started skimming for information and came across a video and a couple of texts in which Keyser seemed to use racial slurs. While fans have called for the makers to remove her from the show, Keyser's father and ex-boyfriend have come forward in her defence.
Love Island USA Season 8 bombshell, Alannah Keyser, has been facing an intense wave of backlash as an old video of her allegedly saying the racial slur made headlines. The show's fans have demanded that the makers immediately remove her from the show. However, amid that, her father, Stephane Keyser, has come forward in her defence. Swinging at the criticism against his daughter, Stephane spoke with TMZ and revealed that "there's no world" in which his daughter was a racist.

Stephane Keyser further spoke on his daughter's behalf, calling Alannah Keyser an "educated sweetheart." Her dad is standing by her in a big way, and has even alleged that Alannah has always had "friends from different backgrounds", which he says makes the hate she's getting all the more ridiculous. However, he is not the only one who has come forward in her defence.

A man named Nick recently posted a TikTok defending Alannah Keyser against the racial slur allegations. He called her the "nicest person ever" and claimed that he doesn't know where the pictures came from. He even alleged that the screenshots were fake and could easily have been AI-generated. He further explained how these scenarios could be manipulated. Nick further addressed the video where Love Island USA Season 8 fans have alleged that Keyser has used a racial slur and said:
"I saw the video myself, and I couldn't tell whether she is saying the N-word or not."

Nick acknowledged that it was inappropriate for someone who wasn't a person of colour or Black to use such words. He further added that it was a different time when the term was used frequently. He concluded the video with a picture of himself and Alana Keyser. The Love Island USA Season 8 bombshell appears to be sitting on his lap in the picture, with him giving her chest a kiss and captioned it:

For the unversed, Love Island USA Season 8 introduced some new faces on June 21, 2026, including Alannah Keyser. She was brought in during the Casa Amor segment of the show as a bombshell, where men from the villa got to meet a new batch of women. And just hours after the episode aired, fans found a video of her singing along to a song using the racial slur. Social media users were also quick to dig up more instances when Keyser had used the N-word. In a resurfaced Instagram comment where she allegedly used the N-word again, as a pun for the word "Nigerian." It is unclear when either of these incidents took place, and production has not yet addressed the controversy.
