'Welcome To The Jungle' Star, Akshay Kumar Hints At 'Welcome 4' With Anil Kapoor And Nana Patekar

Welcome to the Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon and more has officially hit the theatres and is hogging the limelight for its fun storyline and amazing punchlines. Amid the excitement, a lot of fans have been missing Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar in the movie. Well, Akshay Kumar recently addressed the same and hinted at a reunion in Welcome 4.

What is the storyline of Welcome to the Jungle?

Welcome to the Jungle is the third instalment in the popular Welcome franchise. The plot of the latest is set in a jungle, where multiple quirky characters cross paths. The movie revolves around the group of quirky characters trying to make a film. For those unaware, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff and more. Overall, the film relies heavily on action, adventure and humour. The film is directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala.

Akshay Kumar hints at Welcome 4, starring Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar

Recently, Akshay Kumar had a conversation with PTI, during which he was asked about the OG cast of Welcome, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. For the unversed, Anil and Nana played the characters of ‘Uday Shetty’ and ‘Majnu Bhai’. Talking about their absence in Welcome to the Jungle, Akshay Kumar was quoted as saying:

"Welcome is a full family. This is Nana, Mr Anil, me and all the people. This is like a family. If 'Welcome 4' is ever made, you will find all of them (in it)."

Apart from the Bachchan Pandey actor, the director of the Welcome to the Jungle, Ahmed Khan also opened up about Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar’s absence. As per the choreographer-and-director, even though Anil and Nana were not in the movie, they stayed in touch with the cast during the shoot of the movie. The crew of the latest film often used to call Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar from the set. Ahmed Khan said:

"We talked all the time. We used to call during the shoot (of the film). Nana had just called and asked, 'How is it going? When will you show (the film) it to me? Tell Akshay that I am not available.' They keep calling and they talk. Anil sir called and said, 'How is it going? And next time we will plan something'."

Exes, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon reunite on screen after 22 years

Welcome to the Jungle sees the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon after more than two decades. Reportedly, they were last seen in the 2004 film, Police Force: An Inside Story. For those who do not know, Akshay and Raveena were once the most loved couple. They fell in love with each other during the 1990s; however, they parted ways after a few years. A few days ago, Raveena spoke about the reunion and shared that she was extremely happy to work with her close friends, Akshay and Suniel Shetty. Prior to this, the director of the film, Ahmed Khan opened up about the same and explained:

"People will want to see Raveena and Akshay together, so why not do fan service? There is a sequence of Akshay and Raveena dancing together. The whole set clapped. Suniel Shetty, who also starred in Mohra, came in and said, ‘Arre, mere Mohra ki jodi aa gayi'."
