Twinkle Khanna is one such actress and writer who has been setting newer standards for everyone to look up to. A former actress, she had initially started off her career in acting and did quite a few films in Bollywood. However, she decided to change her career path and instead took up the pen and established herself as an author. Moreover, Twinkle left everyone stunned by pursuing a masters degree in fiction writing from Goldsmiths, University of London. And now, as the diva finally received her degree in a prestigious convocation ceremony, and her hubby, Akshay Kumar couldn’t be any prouder.
Taking to his IG handle on January 16, 2024, Akshay Kumar dropped a hearty picture with his best half, Twinkle Khanna from the latter’s convocation ceremony upon completing her master’s degree in fiction writing. For the special day, Twinkle looked gorgeous in a green-hued silk saree which featured sleek golden and silver borders. She wore a black graduation gown and hat. On the other hand, Akshay, who turned cheerleader for his wifey looked handsome in an all-black look. However, it was the actor’s heartfelt note of appreciation for his wifey that won hearts. He penned:
“Two years ago when you told me you wanted to take up studies all over again, I wondered if you meant it. But the day I saw you work so hard and perfectly manage a full-fledged student life along with home, career, me and kids, I knew I had married a super woman. Today on your graduation, I also wish I had studied a bit more to know enough words to tell you how proud you make me, Tina. Congratulations and all my love.”

Well, not just Akshay, but Twinkle Khanna too dropped a special post on her IG handle, as she completed a milestone in her life. Capturing many moments from her graduation day at Goldsmiths, University of London, Twinkle’s video was all things spectacular. While at one moment, she was seen going on the stage to receive her degree, in another frame, she was throwing her graduation cap in the air. Along with the video, the former actress penned a note retrospecting her journey so far and wrote:
“And it’s here. Graduation day. My first day at Goldsmiths feels like it was both yesterday and years ago. A sunny day, a pretty sari, and having my family with me make this day even more perfect than I ever imagined. There comes a stage when the easiest way to grow is horizontally, but we have to push ourselves to grow in myriad other ways. Agree? Disagree?”

Previously, during an interaction with the YouTube channel, A Suitable Agency, Twinkle Khanna recalled the time when she was applying to various colleges in London to pursue her masters degree. She added that her son, Aarav, too was applying to universities simultaneously, and it was quite amusing at a point when the two of them ended up applying at the same university. Twinkle revealed that the two of them decided to pretend not knowing each other, if they were to end up at the same university.

In the same interview, Twinkle Khanna also revealed how it was her ardent desire for the longest to return to the university as a student. Elaborating more, she mentioned:
“When my son was young, I used to take him to school counsellor and I kept saying, I want to go back to university, and the counsellor told me that for now I have to take care of my child and I can go back to uni when he is older. I used to laugh at that and say, that’s misogynistic, I am going to put you in the newspaper, and he would joke with me about it.”
