Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar got married on January 17, 2021, in a lavish wedding ceremony. They are blessed with two kids, a son named Aarav and a daughter named Nitara. Ahead of their wedding, both the actors were allegedly linked to many others. However, even after so many years, their togetherness proved their love and bonding. Moreover, the duo, being avid social media users, keeps making witty posts for one another and never misses a chance to take a dig at each other jokingly.
On April 2, 2024, Twinkle Khanna took to her IG stories and dropped a lovely picture featuring her alongside her husband, Akshay Kumar. The picture proves how they have kept the romance alive in their relationship by still going on date nights. In the picture, while Akshay looked handsome in a black kurta, Twinkle, who was seen resting her head on his chest, kept her look absolutely subtle. A certain glow was visible on their faces as they mushily clicked the picture. Sharing the photo, she wrote:
"After 2 decades he still makes me laugh on a date night.”

Earlier, in one of her Times Of India columns, Twinkle opened up about Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's three-day pre-wedding party with her sister, Rinke Khanna. Talking about the same, the author mentioned that she wants her kids to elope and get married. She further added that her husband, Akshay can't stay awake after 10 pm at night, and both of them get anxious whenever they have to host dinner parties for over 20 people. Sharing the reason behind it, Twinkle stated:
"My sister interrupts my meandering thoughts. ‘You are talking about last names, but what about all the taam jhaam (all the fuss) we will have to do. The bar is now set very high after the Ambani events...I reply, ‘Well, I can’t dance like Nita Bhabhi. The last time I tried dancing to Tamma Tamma Loge during the pandemic, I think even God didn’t want to see my uncoordinated footwork because I immediately fell down and fractured my leg. My husband can barely stay awake after 10 p.m., and we both get anxious about hosting dinner parties for over 20 people.’ I pause for breath. ‘If my children really want me to be happy, then the best thing they can do is just elope'."
Twinkle skipped Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's grand pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and in one of her Times Of India columns, she revealed the reason for the same. But therein, she also made fun of her husband, Akshay's dance performance. She compared his dance step with digging and mentioned:
"He then performs a punching dance step that he repeats 33 times with so much force that it feels like he is about to dig another oil well through the stage and into the Jamanagar soil."

On March 7, 2024, Twinkle shared a cryptic post, which led to people speculating that she is pregnant with her third child, even at the age of 50. In Twinkle's post, it was written, 'Kumar's +1'. Soon, netizens started wondering in her and Akshay's third child is on the way, and flooded the comments section with speculations about the same. Many even congratulated the former actress and her husband. While a few others questioned whether it might be the reason why she missed the Ambanis bash in Jamnagar, some also concluded that it might be Twinkle's way of taking a dig at the society imposing certain rules on women.
