Akanksha Chamola Opens Up On Her Recent Pregnancy Rumours Amid Divorce With Gaurav Khanna

Akanksha Chamola hogged the limelight when she entered Lock Upp Season 2. It was on the show's set that Akanksha announced that she and ace TV actor Gaurav Khanna were getting divorced. Gaurav's estranged wife, Akanksha, was to share her third secret and has now opened up about the recent pregnancy buzz.

Akanksha Chamola, in an interview with IANS, shared whether she was expecting her first baby with Gaurav Khanna. Akanksha also spoke about the reaction of her family members and in-laws related to the confessions she made on the show. Addressing the speculation related to her pregnancy, Chamola, who did not appear to panic replied:

"No, no, no. Flip the question. I will get paid for the third secret. If someone says anything over it, I will reveal the third secret. Otherwise, I will not reveal it.”

Akanksha's reply came amid intense speculation on social media about her pregnancy. It is worth mentioning that Akanksha never confirmed the speculations and was eliminated from the show even before she could reveal her third secret. While on Lock Upp 2, Akanksha revealed she had two secrets. The first one was related to her separation from Gaurav, and then Akanksha opened up about her sexuality. The TV personality stated that she was bisexual, which became one of the most talked-about moments on Lock Upp 2.

Gaurav's wife also stated how his parents and her in-laws reacted to her explosive revelations made on the show. Akanksha revealed that she was unaware of their reactions after she left Lock Upp. Akanksha shared that her in-laws had not approached her regarding anything, as they do not speak to one another. In her words:

"My in-laws did not say anything because we do not talk to each other. And what would my parents say? Our parents are our own. Which parent would say anything to their child?”

Akanksha had earlier shared that if she opened up about the third secret, then she and Gaurav could be lynched publicly. This further fuelled more speculation among the fans, and many tried to decode what the secret could actually mean. Akanksha further stated that the revelations she did not make have no relation to the fact that she has some ''very dark secrets". Akanksha agreed that, for the past one-and-a-half years, she has been staying with her parents, so what she shared with them was not entirely unexpected. In her words:

"I do not think it was a dark revelation. I think it was something that I have been living with my parents for the last one-and-a-half years, so it was not big news. They would not have anticipated it, but it was bound to happen. They were prepared in a way. It was just that they came to know about it through Netflix. As far as bisexuality is concerned, I think they also came to know about it."

Akanksha had earlier stated that when she and Gaurav Khanna got married, she never had any maternal instinct. However, she was open towards discovering it. Gradually, Akanksha realised that motherhood was not meant for her, as she never felt like a mother. In her words:

"He was okay with it initially, but I guess with time, that shifted. Now he wants to have kids, and I cannot give him that. I had told him long back that I was not cut out to be a mother. Her honesty has sparked an important psychological question: "Is maternal instinct something every woman is born with, or is it more complicated than that?"
