Gaurav Khanna's reaction to his estranged wife Akanksha Chamola's bisexuality was revealed in an exclusive Mid-Day report. The Swaragini actress was asked if Gaurav, who is nine years older than her, knew about her bisexuality and how he reacted to it after learning about it. Akanksha candidly replied that she kept things about her sexuality transparent with Gaurav before their marriage, and he accepted her wholeheartedly after knowing that she was bisexual.
Then came Akanksha's shocking revelation that not only was Gaurav supportive of her identity, but he also found it "very hot." As per her, most men find it attractive if their partner is bisexual. Akanksha was surprised at the negative response she received from netizens when she opened up about her sexuality on Lock Upp 2, as her estranged husband had no issues in that regard. Her exact words were:
"I have very specifically mentioned that I was bisexual before I got married. My husband accepted that because he did find it to be a very hot thing. Guys find it very hot. I don't know why people can't accept that. Majority men find it to be very hot."
In the same conversation, Akanksha also clarified the confusion around her identifying as asexual. She said that transitioning to a different sexuality is not abnormal. She explained that it's not just her, but many heterosexual women become asexual after a certain point in time. Akanksha further stated that she continued to stay with Gaurav for a long time after turning asexual and never thought of cheating on him. Questioning if she deserved the hate train she faced, Akanksha mentioned:
"I did not pull myself out of it. But I chose, like I said, I will not cheat on my husband. I have chosen to be with this one person. I will stick to that one person. And then after that, when I'm saying that I've reached a point where I'm asexual, there are many heterosexual females who turn asexual after a point of time. So what is a big deal when I'm saying that I was bisexual, then I got married, now I'm asexual?"
Akanksha Chamola also refuted the popular notion that she was not getting work due to her sexuality. She said that television casting does not work according to an actor's sexuality. The actress stated that casting would be based purely on her acting prowess and suitability for a role, not her sexuality.

Akanksha Chamola, during her latest interview with IANS, was asked whether she was expecting her first baby with Gaurav Khanna. She didn't want to give away anything and seemed panicky during her response. Akanksha avoided the topic by making a cryptic comment. Linking the pregnancy buzz to her third secret, which she didn't reveal in Lock Upp 2, Akanksha stated:
"No, no, no. Flip the question. I will get paid for the third secret. If someone says anything over it, I will reveal the third secret. Otherwise, I will not reveal it."
