Akanksha Chamola Says 'Cheating Should Not Be Tolerated' Amid Divorce From Gaurav Khanna

The buzz heightened when she opened up about her sexuality, sharing that she was bisexual and turned asexual after her marriage to Gaurav. Amid their separation, she weighed in on infidelity in a relationship, calling it intolerable.

Akanksha Chamola made her stance very clear during an argument with Ram Kapoor about cheating in a relationship on Lock Upp 2. At that time, Ram said that sometimes people do end up engaging in infidelity by mistake due to some unforeseen circumstances. Akanksha strongly opposed him, saying that cheating can never happen mistakenly and a person does it in their full consciousness.
After the show ended, Akanksha sat down for an interview with News18 Showsha, where she was asked about the altercation with Ram. The host wanted to know why she has such a strong stance on cheating. To that, the Swaragini actress replied that she believed cheating is an immoral thing to do and it "should not be tolerated." She cited an example of people who wrong their partners and then justify themselves by saying that at least they have not cheated.
Akanksha Chamola is absolutely against such behaviour where a partner thinks they can do anything and get away with it as long as they don't engage in infidelity. To her, not cheating in a relationship is the bare minimum, and if someone thinks of themselves as an amazing partner for not having an affair, then they shouldn't commit to anyone in the first place. Akanksha's exact words were:
"In my definition, cheating is something that should not be tolerated. Not cheating is the basic; there should not be any question about it. It's not a big thing when people say, 'at least maine cheat to nahi kiya.' Cheat nahi karna hi relationship hota hai. Otherwise, don't be in a relationship if you can't commit."
Akanksha Chamola wondered if she was on Lock Upp 2 because of her sexuality
In the same conversation with News18 Showsha, Akanksha Chamola also weighed in on the possibility of her being selected for the show because of her sexuality. She recalled how all the conversations about her Lock Upp 2 venture were focused on her being bisexual and then turning asexual. She revealed that it really bothered her, and at one point she wondered if her sexuality angle was her only contribution to the show. In her words:
"I wondered if I am on the show due to my sexuality. I was questioning myself if this is the only contribution I give in Lock Upp. I was like why is everything related to that. I went through this phase."
However, Akanksha did have her turnaround moment when she was given a bigger role in the game. She recalled feeling very fortunate after being made a gang leader. That helped the public focus shift from her sexuality to her gameplay, and she finally felt seen as a normal participant. Looking back fondly at that week when she landed the role of a gang leader, Akanksha Chamola stated:
"Fortunately though, another week came and I was made the gang leader so the focus shifted to there."
Notably, just a day earlier, Akanksha made another shocking revelation around her sexuality. As per an exclusive Mid-Day report, she said that her estranged husband, Gaurav Khanna was not only supportive of her gender identity, but he also found it "very hot." As per her, most men find it attractive if their partner is bisexual.
Akanksha further stated that she was surprised at the negative response she received from netizens when she opened up about her sexuality on Lock Upp 2, as Gaurav had no issues in that regard.
