And speaking of celebrating kids’ birthday, Bollywood superstar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan recently had a roll at the former’s nephew’s ‘big day’. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sasural waley need no further introduction, the actress generally likes to keep her mayka life, private. While most of you know her mother, Brindya Rai as she is spotted accompanying her star daughter at events and functions, please do note that there is another star in the Rai family. For the uninitiated, Aishwarya has an elder brother, Aditya Rai, who is married to former Mrs India Globe 2009 and was one of the ten finalists in the international contest. The Rai family is often seen celebrating festivals together with ‘Mrs Rai Bachchan’ and make for a great family portrait.
While we will share more details about the same below, let’s take a moment to cherish the fun-filled bash that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s brother and sister-in-law, Aditya Rai and Shrima Rai hosted for their youngest son, Shivansh’s birthday. An array of pictures posted by shutterbugs and the official Instagram page of the venue had Aishwarya, Aaradhya, Brindya ji, Aditya, Shrima, and their two sons happily pose for the camera. The same happened this year too, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sister-in-law, Shrima Rai had posted beautiful pictures of the same aforementioned lot, decked up in traditional wears, tying rakhi on their respective brother’s wrist. Sharing the pictures, Shrima had captioned, “Raksha Bandhan 2019 with the boys today. Raksha Bandhan is celebrated by us more for the remembrance of sibling love... and blessings. On May 23, 2019, Shrima Rai had posted a serene picture of herself and her hubby, Aditya Rai and revealed her love story with her followers. The same could be read as “So here is our story. I was living in India in my early 20’s and met Aditya at a dinner party where some family decided to play matchmaker. We spoke, got to know each other and post a 1-year long engagement I decided to settle in Mumbai with him 15 years ago. We are opposites in many ways.. tall, short, extrovert and introvert .... but when it comes to the things that really matter.. like sushi or pizza .. goa or Mangalore ... and of course .. our kids future... we somehow got that part down. So here’s to us... @aditya_. rai P.S- the house is still a mess, I went shopping again for the boys & I hid the cookies from you cuz you can’t resist I know & I keep you healthy!”
Shrima Rai has over 27 thousand plus followers on Instagram and is an active blogger. Speaking about the same in a 2018 interview with The Asian Age and her superstar sis-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shrima had shared, “I do get respect for having done it on my own. I believe that the brand or public is not going to merely accept me because I am someone’s sister-in-law. Finally, for a blogger, it’s the content that matter." The beautiful mommy of two had further added, “I rarely even post images from our family gatherings. I post an odd image of Aradhya (Aishwarya’s daughter) during Raksha Bandhan or an insta story that changes in 24 hours.”
Shrima Rai, in the same interview, had also shared about her penchant towards writing, creating her own niche as a blogger and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She had revealed, “I started getting a good response and in the last 1.5 years, the numbers are growing. I am also very careful about the brands I endorse and have rejected products that don’t meet my standards, says the mother of two, who has mastered the art of multi-tasking. When you are a banker and a mum you become a multi-tasker. I have always been working, so this is nothing new for me. Also, my husband is very supportive and takes care of the kids when I have to step out for shoots.” Further talking about her extended family, Shrima had shared, “My parents and brother are proud of me.
