Reports flashed on CNN News 18 hint that the AIIMS forensic reports have suggested that the ligature marks found on Sushant Singh Rajput's neck didn't corroborate to the possibility of a suicide. According to CNN News 18, the forensic reports suggest the possibility of murder as the ligature marks found on SSR's neck are not consistent with the theory of suicide. The reports suggested that if SSR had indeed, hanged himself, as is claimed, the ligature marks should have been higher but they are lower on the neck, which vaguely suggests strangulation. According to the findings, it is most likely a murder and the reports also said that Cooper Hospital (where the post-mortem of Sushant Singh Rajput's dead body was done) had failed to follow the procedure, resulting in the inconsistency in its report. The reports further stated that there are no signs of poison, but there's a possibility of homicide. It's pertinent to bring to your notice here that AIIMS findings are in line with the CBI probe, which means they are not ruling out any angle in this case.

SSR case

Earlier, as per the reports flashed in Times Now, sources had revealed that no trace of organic poison was found in Sushant Singh Rajput's body. It was also mentioned that AIIMS would reanalyse Cooper Hospital's report. In a rather shocking revelation, the report had also said that there wasn't enough light in the mortuary when the post-mortem had taken place, pointing vaguely to the discrepancies. It was on September 7, 2020, that the team from AIIMS had conducted viscera test to check for poisoning in SSR's death.

According to The Times Of India, the Chairman of AIIMS' Forensic Medical Board, Dr Sudhir Gupta had commented on the forensic report and had said, "AIIMS and the CBI are in agreement on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case but more deliberations are needed. There is a need to look into some legal aspects for a logical legal conclusion in due course of time. It will be totally conclusive." On the other hand, Sushant Sigh Rajput's family's lawyer, Vikas Singh had claimed on Twitter, "The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it's death by strangulation and not suicide." In response to which, Dr Sudhir Gupta had told Times Now, "Can't make an opinion by seeing marks."

Not only this, but the driver of the ambulance, who had carried Sushant Singh Rajput's mortal body to the hospital was not ready to budge from his statement that Sushant was murdered. Talking to Times Now, the driver had reportedly alleged that even though no poison was found in his body, it was definitely a case of murder. He had said that there was no way that the actor's leg could have been broken if he had hanged himself.
