Television actor, Abhishek Malik featured in many popular TV shows, including Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi, Bhagyalaxmi, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Kumkum Bhagya. He tied the knot with stylist, Suhani Chaudhary in October 2021. Fast forward to now, the duo is heading for a divorce after two years of marriage. The news of their separation came as a shock to their fanbase, and now, the Kumkum Bhagya actor revealed the reason behind parting ways with Suhani.
In a recent interview with the ETimes, Abhishek confirmed that he and Suhani have decided to end their marriage after two years of marital bliss. He shared that it was an amicable decision and said:
''Yes, it’s true that Suhani and I are separating and moving on. We experienced compatibility and understanding issues in our marriage. The decision has been amicable, and there are no hard feelings between us. We only wish each other well.''

Suhani also spoke about her separation from Abhishek and said that they were incompatible. However, she added that there are no regrets and both of them have moved on in their lives. She also said that it was the right decision to part ways with Abhishek and added:
''We took the plunge without anticipating that we could be incompatible, something that we figured out after we started living together. However, there are no grudges or regrets. We realised that both of us should move on with our lives. Parting ways is probably the right decision for both of us. I wish Abhishek a great future ahead.''
In yet another interview with Pinkvilla, Abhishek Malik shared how he and Suhani decided to get married in 2021 and shared that they didn't get the time to understand each other. Soon, genuine compatibility issues cropped in and they couldn't connect with each other. In his words:
''We really tried to work it out, but there were some genuine compatibility issues, and we had to take a call. When we got engaged in January 2021, we had less time to spend with and understand each other. Soon after, we got married (in October 2021). After that, I got a little caught up with buying a new house; so we didn’t really get the time to connect."

Abhishek further added that they were together in Mumbai for two years, but still, the connection was missing between them. When they realised that they couldn't stay together, they decided not to drag their marriage too much and parted ways mutually. He said:
"The connection was missing. We tried to work it out, we were together in Mumbai for 2 years but eventually, we understood that we shouldn’t drag it too much as we have all of our lives ahead of us and that’s when we decided to mutually part ways. We have amicably separated. I don’t wish anything bad for her."
For the unversed, Abhishek Malik and Suhani Choudhary tied the knot on October 19, 2021. To announce the news of his wedding, Abhishek Malik took to his IG handle to share a glimpse of his wedding ceremony. In the picture, Suhani looked gorgeous in an ivory-coloured lehenga filled with intricate embroidery work. Abhishek complemented her in a sherwani of the same colour. Sharing the picture from their wedding, Abhishek had captioned it as:
''Mr & Mrs Malik.''
