On the occasion of his gorgeous wifey's 47th birthday, Abhishek Bachchan penned a sweet birthday note for her. But before moving on to that, let's get a quick insight into Abhishek and Aishwarya's love story. The duo had met on the sets of the film, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and had become good friends. However, something had started brewing between them during the shooting of Umrao Jaan and Guru. After the premiere of Guru, Abhishek had proposed Aishwarya in the city of love, New York, and she had happily accepted his proposal.
On Aishwarya's birthday, her doting husband, the handsome hunk, Abhishek Bachchan took to his IG handle and posted a picture with her. In the picture, we can see Aishwarya and Abhishek donning ethnic ensembles and smiling cheerfully for the camera. Alongside it, Abhishek wrote, "Happy birthday Wifey. Thank you for everything! Some days ago, we had stumbled upon a video where Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had visited the sets of Comedy Nights With Kapil with her late co-star, Irrfan Khan for the promotions of their film, Jazbaa. During their interaction, Kapil had asked Aishwarya whether she had ever made paranthas for hubby, Abhishek Bachchan. To which Aishwarya had given a hilarious reply. The diva had responded by saying, "Yes, not just Abhishek, for Aaradhya as well, I have made for both the kids."

Our first film together was Dhai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and we were friends since then. Simultaneously, we signed another film together called Kuch Na Kaho. We always had a close friendship and in time, it evolved into something more than that."
In an interview with film critic, Anupama Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan had opened up about marrying the most beautiful woman on earth and had quoted, "It's not about - you're hot and let's get married. It's not that. I married her for the human being that she is, not because she is the most successful actor we have or she is the international face of the Indian cinema. At the end of the day, when you come back home from a hard day at work, you go to bed and you have to face certain realities about how the person is like. These faces that we have come off at night without makeup. I married her for that person."
