So, the interesting story behind that ‘fake’ ring is that it was the same one, that he had used in Guru to propose his ladylove in the film. It was no solitaire or any expensive ring but a prop from the sets of their film, Guru. Yes, Abhishek had proposed to Aishwarya for marriage with a fake ring in his hand but lots of love in his heart. On a romantic and freezing night in New York, Abhishek went down on his knees with a ring in his hand, in the balcony of their hotel, and had asked Aishwarya for marriage. Though she was surprised and completely swept off her feet, the lady finally said ‘Yes’!

To mark their 12th anniversary, Abhishek Bachchan had shared a super-gorgeous photo of his darling wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Giving everyone a sneak peek into their candlelight celebrations, Junior B posted a photo of Aishwarya, gazing towards the sea in a beautiful blue outfit and neatly tied up hair. With a full moon in the background and his ‘honey’ posing candidly, Abhishek captioned his anniversary post as, “Honey and the moon” followed by a wink emoji.
A day before their anniversary, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had posted a beautiful landscape photo of the Maldives from what looked like their private beach resort. She captioned the picture as, “Maldives”. Even her star husband, Abhishek Bachchan had shared a glimpse of the scenic beauty of the cloud-laced sky, beach and the dreamy waters. Abhishek had also taken to his Instagram story and had shared a picture with three customised cycles, reserved and named for Aaradhya, Aishwarya and Abhishek. On September 09, 2018, Aishwarya was awarded the prestigious Meryl Streep Award for Excellence at the first edition of Women In Film and Television (WIFT) India. The doting and proud husband couldn’t control his excitement and had tweeted, “And the Mrs. is awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at WIFT.
