It happened on October 22, 2022, when Abhishek replied to a journalist's tweet and wrote, "Do people still read newspapers??" However, taking a toll on the actor, a user mentioned, "Intelligent people do. Not unemployed people like you." But, it was Abhishek's sassy response to the troll that caught our attention. He tweeted:
"Oh, I see! Thank you for that input. By the way, intelligence and employment aren't related. Take you for example. I'm sure you're employed, I'm also sure (judging by your tweet) that you're not intelligent."
Soon after, Abhishek shut the troll with his befitting reply, his fans heaped praises on him. One of the users wrote, "I admire your talent on the screen...you have given fabulous performance and did justice to any type of character you have played... Please ignore these kind of tweeters", while another mentioned, "Don't take them seriously they find their happiness in criticising others but I wanna tell you as a fan you are an amazing actor and human being and you are moving on a right path so keep it up. Always maintain your JOSH HIGH." One of his fans tweeted, "Ignore him Junior Big B."

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Abhishek has been trolled by the netizens. On October 20, 2022, Abhishek Bachchan and his darling wifey, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had attended celebrity fashion designer, Manish Malhotra's Diwali bash. For the party, Abhishek donned a red kurta-pyjama, and a matching stole. However, as soon as the video went viral, netizens had trolled the actor for his outfit. While one user had written, "Who this grandpa?", another one had commented, "Yeh baba banke kyun aa gaya." Another netizen's comment could be read as "Laal langoor."
