Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan and her fiance, Nupur Shikhare are enjoying their blissful days currently. The duo, who exchanged rings on November 18, 2022, are looking forward to their wedding, which is speculated to be taking place sometime soon in 2023. However, every now and then, rumours about their wedding date getting finalised surfaces on the internet, creating a frenzy amongst all. Reacting to the recent reports about having an October wedding, Ira Khan cleared the air about it.
On September 14, 2023, a report quoted by the ETimes highlighted that Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan is set to get married to her fiance, Nupur Shikhare on October 3, 2023, in a court wedding. The report also revealed that the couple will also have a grand wedding in Udaipur after their registered wedding. However, reacting to it all, Ira Khan finally announced a clarification to the ongoing rumours. Taking to her IG stories, Ira dropped a message, which she later deleted, and rubbished the wedding date to be October 3. She wrote:
“No no Not getting married on 3rd October! Later, you’ll know when because I’ll be so excited that it will be hard to not notice @nupur_popeye”

It was on November 18, 2022, when Ira Khan got engaged to her boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare. They celebrated their cherished moment by throwing a bash for their close friends and family members. The impressive guest list for the engagement included Ira’s parents, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutt, as well as Ira’s stepmother, Kiran Rao. For their special day, Ira dolled up in a red-hued strapless gown, that had a sweetheart neckline. Her beau, Nupur, on the other hand, looked dapper in an all-black tuxedo.
In one of her earlier interviews with The Times Of India, Ira Khan had spoken up about her planned date of getting married to Nupur Shikhare. Responding to the frequent queries about her nuptials, Ira mentioned that she and her fiance had decided on the date of their wedding as January 3, but they are yet to fix on the year.

It was on September 22, 2022, Ira Khan received the most dream-like proposal she got from her then-boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare. In a totally filmy manner, Nupur went down on his knees and proposed to Ira in Italy. Sharing a glimpse of the most special moment, Ira had written:
“Popeye: She said yes. Ira: Hehe I said yes.”
