Brittany Clark's father recalls receiving the tragic call about his daughter's death
The horror unfolded when Brittany Clark, her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and their roommate, Jayden Hernandez, went for a swim in the Econlockhatchee River in Florida. However, little did they imagine that their fun weekend would take a deadly turn. The trio was enjoying a bright summer day in the water when an alligator attacked Brittany, claiming her life. Now, Brittany's father has opened up about receiving the tragic phone call in a conversation with The Post.

Brittany Clark's father, Robert Clark, told the news outlet that his daughter's roommate, Jayden Hernandez, called him on Sunday, June 28, 2026 (ET). He revealed how he had just lost his mother, Barbara, days before on Thursday, June 25, 2026 (ET), making the loss even more heartbreaking. The 57-year-old semi-retired motorcycle technician recalled how Jayden and Brittany's boyfriend, Chance Allison, were just trying to keep his daughter alive and said:
"I received a call on Sunday from Brittany’s roommate Jayden, and she was explaining as it was happening. They were trying to keep her alive and waiting for the authorities to show up."
Brittany Clark's brother, Nate Clark recalls how his sister was thriving before the tragedy
Brittany Clark's brother, Nate Clark, also spoke about losing his sister at such a young age. He called her an "amazing sister" and admitted it was one of the toughest things he had been through. Nate said the past several days have been overwhelming for his family, especially their parents. He revealed that while he and his parents have been struggling to wrap their heads around what happened, he is glad that they have each other to lean on during this difficult time. He was quoted as saying:
"She was an amazing sister as anybody could ever ask for. It's one of those things that'll never happen to us, you know? It'll never be me there. Nobody wants to lose a child. And on the same page, nobody wants to lose a sister either. They're struggling just like me. But I'm very, very happy that they have each other."

Nate Clark further revealed that his sister Brittany Clark was thriving after moving back to Orlando following college graduation. He recalled that she had joined a construction company. Nate admitted that her death has left him distraught, and he still can't wrap his head around what happened. He also expressed gratitude for his sister's boyfriend, who tried to save her during the attack. He was quoted as saying:
"She was working at a construction company, and they were building all the roads for Florida. My reaction to that was ... distraught. I was in shambles. I had a very, very hard time believing that it was real life. I can't imagine the trauma. I can't imagine how hard it was. He was there for my sister when I couldn't be. And I appreciate that a lot."
