Well now, Ava Dash has opened up about their relationship and revealed her father’s reaction to it.
Ava Dash breaks silence on her relationship with Kyle Cooke
For those who do not know, Ava Dash and Summer House fame, Kyle Cooke have been sparking dating rumours for a while now. It all began after they were spotted holding hands. However, they denied romance. Months later, in June 2026, their dating rumours intensified when they were photographed kissing each other at the Palm Tree Music Festival in the Hamptons.
Well now, Ava Dash sat down for an interview with Page Six, during which she addressed her dating rumours with Kyle Cooke. When asked about their relationship, Ava chose to give a vague reply and explained:
"We were having a good time. I’m open to having a really great summer, and I’m having a really great summer. I just want to have fun."
Further, Ava Dash mentioned that she and Kyle Cooke spend a lot of time together only because they share the same friend circle. Recalling their interaction, she revealed that they first bonded after meeting at Coachella and soon became close friends. Ava Dash also stated that she has always preferred being around older people. In her words:
"Honestly, me and Kyle and a lot of the Summer House people are in the same friend group now. We’ve all gotten so close. It’s not something I was expecting, but a lot of my best friends are friends with him and friends with Jesse [Solomon]. Like, I went to Coachella with Jesse and Mia [Calabrese], so I got to really know her there. I love their friend group so much. I’ve always been friends with people slightly older than me. So, I just feel very comfortable with them."

During the same conversation, Ava Dash also recalled her father’s first reaction after knowing about her and Kyle Cooke’s romance. She explained that her father is the only person who is not shipping them. Reportedly, he was not fine with Ava publicly kissing Kyle; however, she told him that he doesn’t know the entire story. Ava Dash was quoted as saying:
"The one person who I don’t know is shipping it that hard is my dad. So, that was something he just saw. He sent (the article) to me and he said, ‘Are you kidding me?’"

Dating rumours of Kyle Cooke and Ava Dash began soon after the former's separation with his ex-wife, Amanda Batula. In March 2026, Kyle and Ava were spotted holding hands, sparking dating rumours. However, the Summer House fame denied all rumours and described it as a family gathering. A few months later, they were spotted kissing each other.
It is worth noting that Kyle and Ava's PDA has been receiving mixed reactions from fans. One Reddit user commented, "Isn't this the second time with Ava? Can he find someone outside of bravo?" Another user penned, "Gross. He’s like 20 years older than her." A third user wrote, "They look good together." A fourth user shared, "People have been so focused on destroying Amanda that they seemed to have forgotten how horrible and immature Kyle is."
