Earlier, in July 2026, the couple tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Now, ahead of his first NFL game of the season against the Denver Broncos on September 14, 2026, Travis got candid about his marriage with pop icon Taylor Swift.
Recently, Travis Kelce and his teammate Patrick Mahomes sat down for a candid interview with ESPN. In a now-viral clip, the host Chris Berman asked whether the news of his marriage to Taylor Swift was true. In response, Travis admitted that it was true and also joked, saying, "Didn’t I see you there?"
Travis then went on to say that their wedding ceremony was the best night of his life. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end added that marrying Taylor was more than he could have ever dreamed of. He said:
"It was the best night of my life. Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up, and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air."
Patrick Mahomes was also quick to join in the conversation. Patrick, who was one of the guests at Taylor and Travis’ MSG wedding, shared, "My perspective, it was a lot of fun; I did a little dancing. I didn’t know if I was gonna be able to dance, and it was good to get my first dancing experience of the offseason." For the uninitiated, Taylor and Travis had an intimate yet grand wedding and invited nearly 1,000 guests, including many of Kelce’s Chiefs teammates and head coach Andy Reid.
In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Taylor’s close friend, Mariska Hargitay, spoke about her marriage to Travis. She shared that they had an intimate wedding. She revealed that her favorite part of their wedding was the couple’s vows. She called the moment "magical". She said:
"It was so spectacular and so intimate, I have to say. I have to say, I am blown away, because when there’s a wedding with that many guests, you think, ‘OK, it’s going to be that.’ And it just wasn’t. And I even say that the vows were my favorite part of the whole wedding. It was that magical."
It is worth mentioning that this was not the first time that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke well about his wedding to Taylor. On the September 2, 2026 installment of his New Heights podcast, Travis got candid about their marriage. He shared that they would never forget the night of their wedding. He added that they were very thankful to the people who showed up to their wedding. He was quoted as saying:
"Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. And it was just so magical, man."
Taylor and Travis’ love story is nothing less than a fairytale. Taylor has been Travis’ constant support system and attended many of his NFL matches. Back in July 2023, Travis publicly declared his interest in Swift on his New Heights podcast, and they began seeing each other shortly afterwards. Cut to 2025: on August 26, 2025, the couple announced their engagement. Later, on July 3, 2025, the duo tied the knot at MSG.
