Sufi Motiwala Wasn't Allowed At His Grandmaa's Funeral, Dadijaan's Rs. 50K Began His Content Journey

Sufi Motiwala has bid goodbye to 'Lock Upp 2'. Amid that, his revelation about his grandmother has left everyone shocked and teary-eyed.

Lock Upp 2 has become one of the most entertaining parts of the audience's binge-watch routine. And the recent episodes of the show brought extra entertainment as two evicted players made their comeback. However, that led to Sufi Motiwala and Dheeraj Dhoopar bidding adieu to Lock Upp and the former making some heartbreaking revelations about his past. 

Sufi Motiwala's family didn't allow him to attend his grandmother's funeral

Lock Upp 2's latest episode brought some heartbreaking revelations from Sufi Motiwala. For the unversed, Yogesh Rawat and Harshad Chopda made their Lock Upp 2 comeback following their eviction earlier. However, to confirm their spots, they challenged Sufi Motiwala and Dheeraj Dhoopar in a task and won it, securing their place back in the house. As a result, Sufi and Dheeraj were eliminated from the show.

However, before leaving, Sufi Motiwala was asked if he would like to disclose his three secrets, to which the influencer revealed that when he was in college, his grandmother had passed away. Sufi recalled that his 'Dadijaan' had called him two days before her death, but he couldn't take the call. As a result, he was not allowed to attend her funeral, leaving him heartbroken.

"Meri zindagi ki sabse badi regret hai, main jab college ke liye Delhi gaya tha, my grandmother passed away. Do din before she passed away, she called me aur maine unka call nahi uthaya aur uske baad she died, and my family didn't let me attend her funeral."

However, despite the tragic incident, Sufi Motiwala revealed that his 'Dadijaan' was the reason why he could become a content creator. Instagram's famous self-claimed fashion critic revealed that before her death, his grandmother had left Rs. 50,000 for him, which he used to buy a phone. Sufi shared that it was the same phone he used to begin his journey as an influencer.

"Meri Dadijaan mere liye Rs. 50,000 for me, jissey maine naya phone khareeda aur maine apni content ki journey shuru ki...jiski wajha se mai aaj yahan hu."

Sufi Motiwala gets candid about facing sexual abuse

Sufi Motiwala chose to reveal all three of his secrets, with another one being about how he fell in love with his only male friend, leading the latter to end their friendship. He said, "This is why I have an emptiness in my heart." However, it was Sufi's third secret that left everyone in tears. The content creator revealed that when he was living in a PG, his roommate would watch him sleep, and one night tried to force himself on him. 

However, when he ran to the PG owner, things got worse, with the latter making some horrifying comments. Afraid for his well-being, Sufi spent 12 hours locked in the bathroom. Host Riteish Deshmukh praised Sufi Motiwala for his courage and for speaking his truth on national television. Fellow contestants also extended their support and wished him strength.

"When I was in college, my roommate...mai jab raat ko sota tha toh woh mere bed ke saamney baith ke mujhe dekhta tha. Ek din he later forced himself on me; he kissed me, etc and I pushed him away, and I ran down. Mere jo PG owner the maine complain kari unhey and unhoney bola ki 'tu uskey saath kyu so raha hai, tu mere saath soja.' Which is why, mujhe bathroom mein band hona pada tha uss din 12 ke liye."
