Meghan King is a renowned American reality TV personality and model. She is best known for her stint on the Bravo series, The Real Housewives of Orange County, from 2015 to 2017. She has also appeared on the workplace reality series, Resale Royalty. Back in 2020, she was a presenter at the second annual iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.
At present, Meghan King is grabbing the spotlight after she was spotted at a party kissing Summer House fame, Kyle Cooke. While neither Kyle nor Meghan has confirmed their relationship as of now, many have become curious about the latter's previous relationship. According to a report by People, Meghan King and Jim Edmonds began dating back in April 2013. It is worth noting that both Meghan and Jim were previously married. While Meghan was married to Brad McDill, Jim had been married twice, to the late Lee Ann Horton, with whom he shares two daughters, and to Allison Jayne Raski, with whom he shares a son and a daughter.
During an interview with Page Six, Meghan had revealed that she met Jim for the first time through another man that she was dating after her divorce. When they split up, Jim took the opportunity to ask her out, though Meghan did mention that he waited an acceptable amount of time before asking her out on a date. This is because he did not want to have bad blood in his group of friends.
While we do not know the exact time that Meghan and Jim got engaged, according to her Instagram account, it was sometime before March 2014. On April 1, 2014, she posted about filming Say Yes to the Dress at the famous Kleinfeld Bridal boutique. About a year and a half after they began dating, Meghan and Jim got married on October 24, 2014. Though Meghan had shared on Say Yes to the Dress that she and Jim were planning to tie the knot in Bora Bora, the pair ended up getting married in St. Louis. This is not only the place where Meghan is from, but also where Jim used to play basketball for quite a while during his career.
After Meghan joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County in June 2015, she would often document her IVF process on the show. Finally, on June 20, 2016, Meghan announced that she and Jim were expecting their first child together. While talking to People, she said, “I'm so over the moon…I've always dreamed of this, but it's still such a miracle. I can't even describe the feeling.”
Meghan King and Jim Edmonds welcomed their first child on November 24, 2016, which was also Thanksgiving Day. They lovingly named their daughter, Aspen King Edmonds. The duo took some time after her birth to share the happy news in early December. Meghan wrote on her Instagram:
"Our perfect Aspen King Edmonds made her grand entrance on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2016, 6lbs 11oz. From the hours leading up to the birth, I had the most incredible husband, he didn't leave my side…I am so proud and impressed of the team we made to welcome Aspen, our bond is more unshakable than I ever imagined."
Nearly a year after their daughter, Aspen, was born on December 21, 2017, Meghan and Jim announced they were expecting twin sons. At the time, the reality star shared a sweet photo featuring herself, Jim, Asken and their dog, Girly Girl. In the caption, she wrote, “We're having twins! Oh boy, oh boy! #doubletrouble #threeundertwo.”
After three seasons, Meghan announced that she was leaving RHOC in January 2018. She revealed the reason on her blog, stating that she had decided to leave to spend more time with her family and focus on her pregnancy. On June 5, 2018, Meghan and Jim finally welcomed their son, Hayes and Hart Edmonds. Sharing a photo of the twins shortly after their birth, Jim wrote, “Everyone is doing well. My wife was a rockstar once again and delivered both babies with no medication. #onetoughlady.”
While Meghan and Jim's marriage seemed to be going fine, especially with them celebrating their fourth marriage anniversary on October 24, 2018, a few months later, Jim was accused of having an affair. On June 14, 2019, a source claimed to AllAboutTheTea that Jim had cheated with Meghan as well as his second wife, with the same person. Jim partially accepted the allegations, revealing in a statement to Us Weekly that he had an “inappropriate conversation” with the woman but no physical interaction with her.
On the same day that the accusation was made against Jim, Meghan King spoke out about the situation in a blog post titled, “I'm Sad.” She shared that she no longer trusted Jim, and an affair is an affair whether it is physical or not. She also shared that he had sent “lewd photos” to the unnamed woman.
On October 28, 2019, Jim was accused of cheating on Meghan for the second time, just a few days after they revealed that they were trying to work things out in counselling. Apparently, this time rumours surfaced that the former MLB player had cheated with their nanny. Although he denied that he had been unfaithful, it seemed like the pair's marriage was about to be “broken up in the ugliest and messiest way.”
After separating sometime after this, Meghan and Jim finalised their divorce in May 2021, over a year later. According to a January 2021 blog post, Meghan said the COVID-19 pandemic delayed her divorce proceedings. She wrote, “Dude, Covid courts won't even let me get divorced. I feel like that pretty much sums up 2020: I can't accomplish the s-------t thing on my list."
