"When I initially started the show, everybody was pretty cool, really friendly, especially the crew. But over a course of time, I kind of noticed the guys were kind of talking, looking, gawking at the girls. I found out this is a little more commonplace than I thought."

Janice Pennington was one of the original 'Barker's Beauties'. She joined the show from the very first episode in 1972 and stayed on until 2000. Following Bob's death in 2023, Janice spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her tenure as a model on the show, saying, "It's hard to imagine, but every day I loved going to work." While she loved her stint on the show, she never returned to TV after that. Dian Parkinson was also a model for the game show from 1975 until 1993.

During her time on the show, Dian allegedly had an affair with Bob Barker. However, in 1994, she sued him for sexual harassment, but she eventually dropped the case a year later; her allegations affected the show behind the scenes. While Dian remained unavailable for a comment, Holly Hallstrom, in a conversation with Dirty Rotten Scandals, was quoted as saying:

"Every time you went to the studio, you had to sit with lawyers who all they wanted to hear was all the bad stuff about Dian and how Bob could not have possibly sexually harassed Dian."

Talking about Holly Hallstrom, she was let go from the show in 1995 and was one of the main participants in the latest docuseries. In a March 2026 interview with TV Insider, Hallstrom revealed that these days, she works "with victims of trauma and teaches [neuro-linguistic programming] through therapeutic practices in San Diego." Another model was Anitra Ford, who worked on the game show from 1972 to 1976. She was a contestant on the 2018 episode of To Tell the Truth, where she spoke about becoming an artist, working with "acrylic, mixed media, fabric" and photography.

Kathleen Bradley spent a decade on the game show, making history as the first permanent Black model. In 2013, she published her memoir, Backstage at The Price Is Right: Memoirs of a Barker Beauty. In recent years, she has continued to be on screen, appearing in TV series such as Grey's Anatomy and A House Divided. In the docuseries, she was quoted as saying:

"One guy in particular. He was a little friendly, too friendly. He would rub up against us, joking around. It's totally inappropriate. I learned the stagehand had been around on the set for a long time and was probably doing it to all the other girls. When I reported this guy to the producers? To my surprise, no action was taken. I was really taken aback. This was really sexual harassment. So I took matters into my own hands."

According to her IMDb, she has appeared on TV in other series such as Community, The Hard Times of RJ Berger, The Bold and the Beautiful, and CSI: Miami.
