A mistrial has been declared in Lindsay Clancy's case. Amid this, her attorney broke his silence about the conspiracy theories surrounding Patrick Clancy's involvement.

While prosecutors claimed that it could have been a pre-planned act by Clancy to kill her kids, her defense team has maintained that she was suffering from a severe postpartum condition and psychosis.
While Lindsay's trial was going on, netizens have discussed her ex, Patrick Clancy's involvement in this case. Patrick was not at his home when the heinous murders took place back in 2023. He testified in court, and the 911 audio from the same day was also presented. No doubt it's a heartbreaking thing for Patrick; however, he has since been trying to live his life. He married Rachel Danis, and both have been scrutinized at every step.
Patrick called his ex-wife, Lindsay, an amazing mother while even forgiving her for killing their three kids, for which she pleaded not guilty on the grounds of insanity. However, social media users had conducted their own research and continued questioning Patrick Clancy's involvement throughout. There have been several conspiracy theories about Patrick on social media, and recently Lindsay's attorney reacted to them.
Following the mistrial declaration in Lindsay Clancy's case, her attorney, Kevin Reddington, was questioned about the same. Reacting to it, Kevin said that people heard Patrick's 911 call and can judge his credibility by it, while adding that he doesn't know what was on Lindsay's ex-husband's mind. Kevin also stated that Patrick testified and the jury was able to evaluate the same. He added that it's not easy to testify and people get nervous. To quote Kevin:
”I think Patrick, you heard the 911 call, I think you can judge his credibility by that 911 call. I don’t know what is in Patrick’s mind. He testified, and the jury was able to evaluate it. That’s his testimony. People get nervous when they testify. They say things and they get confused. It’s not easy to be on that witness stand. He testified. Jurors weighed his testimony and uh, you know, I mean — most of you didn’t hear the 911 tape.”
When asked about the conspiracy theories surrounding Patrick on social media, Kevin replied by saying, 'not by me'. People have been questioning Patrick since the trial began; however, he testified and revealed his side of the story, and while some social media users claimed to be convinced, others denied it.
Speaking about the theories, Kevin stated that the whole concept of conspiracy theories on the internet is 'amazing'. Stating that people on the internet are open to speaking, and that he doesn't dismiss them, Kevin stated:
"I mean people on the internet, they’re going to say — regarding the people on the internet, I certainly don’t dismiss them. It’s amazing what people on TikTok and Instagram — I do know those things — it’s amazing how they’re able to [find out] facts and they do investigations and it’s truly amazing, this whole concept of the internet.”
Patrick Clancy testified back in July 2026 and revealed that he was out that day to pick up food and medicine. Patrick said he called Lindsay from the pharmacy, and she sounded 'quiet', which made him think she was busy with the kids. Upon his return, he felt something was wrong and eventually found Lindsay in the yard. Lindsay tried to jump off the second-story window in an apparent suicide attempt.
When he asked Lindsay about the kids, she didn't say anything about harming the little ones and stated that the three kids were in the basement. As Patrick followed, he found his three kids there, strangled with a resistance band. He tried to perform CPR, but couldn't save his kids.
Patrick also admitted that roughly a week before the incident, Lindsay told him about hearing a man's voice, directing her to harm her kids. Patrick stated that Lindsay was a dedicated mom who suffered from chronic insomnia, intrusive thoughts, and anxiety, and her health deteriorated in the months leading up to the tragic incident.
