After Liam died from falling from the third-floor room's balcony, an investigation was launched; cops gathered information and statements from witnesses and CCTV footage. They have obtained more than 3,000 documents and photographs which reveal the chilling details of Liam's final hours.
Liam had contacted two call girls, Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea, to his hotel room. On the night before his passing, he was allegedly intoxicated with booze and drugs. Other photos from hours before his fall show hotel workers delivering booze to his room in buckets.
In another photo, two sex workers were seen in reception before Liam greeted them and ushered them towards his room. The ladies told cops how Liam sang his own songs and later asked them for cocaine. Not only this, but they also revealed that the singer argued with them over payment of a fee of USD 5,000, which they agreed upon as he had no cash.
As per reports, Liam was left alone after his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, and friend Rogelio Roger Nores left the country. The two revealed that Liam had shown no sign of spiraling as he spent two weeks with them, but things turned ugly in their absence. The receipts obtained by cops revealed Liam ordered USD 600,000 worth of whiskey to his room on the day of his death.
It was only the family who had known Liam's state of mind. His father, Geoff Payne, revealed that his son was not in control of what he did and he was not the Liam he had known.
The call girls, Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea, were the ones who met Liam just before his passing. The women shared that it was supposed to be a consensual encounter, but it turned out to be something totally different, with heavy drinking, alleged drug use, and destructive behavior. One of the call girls said:
"We saw that he was doing something like crystal meth with bits of tinfoil. There was tinfoil everywhere with traces of drugs. A drawer was full of it, there was more burned tinfoil on the couch, a lot of clothes thrown around, he smelled of alcohol."
The woman revealed Liam showed anger when asked to pay the agreed fees. As per them, he smashed his Rolex watch and told them he could get ten of those and later punched the hotel TV three times.
An hour after the call girls left, hotel staff placed emergency calls and described Liam as an aggressive guest possibly under the influence. At 5:07 p.m., Payne fell from the balcony of his third-floor room and was declared dead at the scene. It was later revealed that Liam had co***ne, alcohal and the sedative Kl**opin in his system. His autopsy showed no sign of self-harm, and it was revealed that he was unconscious or semi-conscious when he fell off.
Liam's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, talked about his struggle with addiction and how he had been dealing with his mental health. While Liam wanted to give up on it, it was something his brain didn't allow, and he couldn't help himself.
