Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleThe Ketan Agarwal murder case has become the talk of the town for the past couple of days. According to the police, it was the 26-year-old's fiancee, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhury, who had planned to kill him. For those unaware, Siya had lured Ketan to Lohagarh Fort, where he plunged to his death on June 18, 2026. Amid this, the police recreated the murder to establish Siya’s role in it.
On Friday, 26 June 2026, a human-sized dummy was thrown 400 feet down the gorge in the same place where Ketan Agarwal had plunged to his death a few days prior. The police conducted this exercise to simulate the trajectory of the fatal fall. This would also help them ascertain if his fiancée, Siya Goyal, had physically pushed Ketan from the Lohagarh Fort, or if it was her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhury, who had committed the crime at her insistence.
It is worth noting that this development comes after an intense 48-hour operation where forensic teams had meticulously combed the Lohagarh Fort area, securing vital physical evidence in the process. Through the simulation done by the Pune police, they have now pinned down the precise spot from where Ketan was thrown down. Additionally, in recreating the crime, they were also able to unpack the exact sequence of events involving Siya and Chetan, the accused in this case. According to the initial findings by the police, it was Chetan who had allegedly pushed Ketan after Siya gave him the go-ahead. The final results from the recreation are expected to definitively establish the role as well as the amount of physical involvement both Chetan and Siya had in murdering Ketan.
After Ketan Agarwal was murdered, forensic examination of the accused phones revealed that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhury had deleted all the text messages between them. It is believed that they had deleted thousands of messages between them in an effort to cover their tracks. As of now, the police have sent both their mobile phones to a forensic laboratory to recover the deleted text messages.
With the investigation into Ketan's murder continuing, sources have revealed that Chetan and Siya have actually turned on each other. During the interrogation, Siya had claimed that Chetan was the one who planned the murder; however, he accused the former of being the mastermind behind the crime. Investigators are now looking into whether Chetan was forced to kill Siya's fiancé. Additionally, a probe is also underway to check if he had recorded calls and messages to blackmail Siya and threaten to expose their secret relationship to the Agarwals if she had not gone ahead with the plan to murder Ketan.
Recently, Siya Goyal's lawyer, Aashutosh Shrivastav, has defended her as she remains in custody. He claimed that there is no solid proof against the 20-year-old. According to him, anything that has been said during the custody cannot be treated as proof, and since there is no proof or eyewitnesses against Siya, she cannot be considered a criminal. The lawyer also addressed the claim made by Ketan Agarwal's mother about how Siya was an alcoholic. He shared that even if that was the case, being an alcoholic is not a crime and does not prove that she had a hand in pushing Ketan off the cliff.
