Karissa Shannon recently sat down for an interview with Page Six. During the conversation, she shared that she is engaged and is looking forward to leading a quiet family life outside of the showbiz. The 37-year-old mentioned that she wants Genesis to grow up as a gentleman who treats people with respect and understands kindness.
She explained that she hopes her son will become a person with good manners and someone who "leads with his heart." These statements come from her own experiences while living at the Playboy Mansion. Previously, Karissa had admitted that she felt both controlled and pressured there. In her words:
"I want him to be opposite of whatever Hef was portraying. I want him to be a gentleman, and I want him to have manners, and I want him to lead with his heart".
For those who don't know, Karissa Shannon and her twin sister, Kristina, rose to fame after joining Playboy Mansion at a young age. They also appeared in The Girls Next Door. However, their time there has been the subject of serious allegations against Hugh.
Karissa has accused the late Playboy founder of pressuring her and Kristina into sexual activity with each other. His widow, Crystal Hefner, also claimed that he attempted to force the twins into performing sexual acts together, which was disturbing. Later, Karissa opened up about the emotional impact of her experiences at the mansion.
The former Playboy Playmate alleged that the place was under restrictions when she wanted to leave. Instead, she was pressured into sexual situations. She described that she became dependent on prescription medication during that period to cope with the environment. Sharing her feelings, she said:
"He would try and force me and my sister to have sex with each other. He wanted to see it and wanted us to fool around with each other. Me and my sister never actually did it together... We faked it every time."
