Siya Goyal's Relative Claims She Was Born After Years Of Prayers, Family Had Initially Adopted A Boy

The murder of Ketan Agarwal has drawn the attention of the entire nation due to its shocking nature. For those unaware, the police have claimed that Ketan's fiancee, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhury, were the ones who had conspired to kill him. They allegedly murdered Ketan by luring him to Lohagad Fort. As the investigation into the case continues, Siya's family background has come to the forefront. 

Siya Goyal's family was deeply religious, and she was born after years of prayers 

Recently, Saraswati Goyal, a relative of the accused in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, has opened up about Siya's family background. According to Saraswati, Siya was born after years of her parents' prayers. Before Siya's birth, her parents had initially adopted a son from their extended family. Family acquaintances have revealed that Siya was the couple's only biological child. 

They further described Siya Goyal's parents as highly religious individuals. They were known for regularly organising religious and social events, which included recitations of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and other rituals. Additionally, some of the family's acquaintances even alleged that Siya had struggled with substance use and frequently attended parties. According to them, her lifestyle had led some of her relatives to distance their children from her. As of now, these claims have not been independently verified. 

Siya Goyal's mother wants her to receive the “harshest punishment”

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Siya Goyal's mother demanded the harshest punishment for her daughter if she is indeed found guilty of murdering Ketan Agarwal, as the police suspects. Not only that, she should suffer the same fate and be thrown from the same spot where Ketan was thrown. During a conversation with the reporters, Pooja Goyal claimed that Siya had never expressed any dissatisfaction when it came to her marriage. She also said that they had no idea about their daughter's alleged lover, Chetan, noting that since the engagement, Siya had exclusively communicated with Ketan. Pooja was quoted as saying:

“If anyone is at fault in this, they should be given the harshest punishment. Even if it includes my daughter. If my daughter is found guilty, then she should be thrown from the same place where Ketan was thrown… The family had so much hope for Siya and Ketan’s marriage. There were so many expectations, so much affection."

Pooja added that Ketan's family had always treated Siya with a lot of love. They had even planned several events for her birthday celebration. Even now, her mother claimed that she does not believe that Siya had agreed to murder Ketan; however, if the investigation reveals that she is guilty, then she should definitely face punishment. In Pooja's words:

“Ketan’s family also treated Siya with great affection and love. All the functions were going well. They had also organised many events for her birthday celebration. If we felt that Siya was having some problem or was not able to talk to Ketan, then they would discuss it with us…I don’t believe that she agreed to commit the crime, but if the investigation reveals that she is guilty, then give her the harshest punishment… For the marriage, they booked Ananta Resort in Udaipur. The cost was Rs 3 crore, and we were planning to spend Rs 5 crore on the wedding."

Meanwhile, Ketan Agarwal's uncle, Vijay Agarwal, has also demanded justice for the former, claiming that he believes in the country's legal system. He shared that Ketan was only 26 years old and very well educated. He agreed to an arranged marriage with Siya after listening to his parents and was eventually killed.
