The kids alleged that several immovable properties owned by their late dad, Sunjay Kapur, were also not on Priya’s list. They also pointed out the discrepancies in the list, keeping their grandmother, Rani Kapur’s submitted asset list. They called this attempt a 'deliberate concealment' and sought a direction requiring their stepmom to disclose the full list. The next hearing is scheduled on January 20, 2026.

More about the legal dispute involving Sunjay Kapur's Rs. 30,000 crore estate

Back in August 2025, Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, Priya Sachdev, moved to the Delhi High Court, presented a document and claimed to be the sole beneficiary of his estate. However, Karisma’s children, Kiaan and Samaira and Sunjay Kapur’s mom, Rani Kapur, challenged the document in court. In a 2025 interview with Vickey Lalwani, Sunjay’s sister, Mandhira Kapur Smith revealed how their mother, Rani, reacted to the will. She was quoted as saying:

"We have read the will, and it just doesn’t seem normal to me. I don’t understand how my brother would cut off his own kids from the will. That was the first thing we heard, ‘Ki unke bachchon ko kuch nahi mil raha‘. The first reaction came from my mother, and she was extremely disturbed and was in disbelief over the whole thing. My problem is that iss family ko majak bana diya hai. My father worked very hard to build his legacy, and my brother took it forward. All of that is being ridiculed in front of the whole world, and that too, over money."

Recently, Priya requested the SC for a certified copy of all documents related to the 2016 divorce between Karisma and Sunjay Kapur. She made this request to verify details about the financial settlements and child custody arrangements made between the ex-couple. In an interview with ANI, Mandhira reacted to the following and shared that Priya wanted to divert the ongoing legal issue. She was quoted as saying:

"It's trying to divert what is going on. Firstly, if my brother wanted to share this with her, he would have shared it with her while they were married. So, I don't understand why she is trying to play all this when she has already shown this in court. So yes, it is to divert from what is going on in reality. I think a divorce is confidential."
