The man behind the infamous Rs. 370 Biryani joke, Himanshu Jangra, broke his silence for the first time over the controversy.
Himanshu Jangra, a Haryana resident, is currently at the centre of a major controversy. For the unversed, a few days back, Himanshu attended the comedy show of Bigg Boss 19 fame, Pranit More and made the infamous Rs. 370 Biryani remark. The misogynistic remark from Himanshu made him lose his job. Reportedly, Himanshu was employed with Starvik Design, Gurgaon. A while back, Himanshu broke his silence for the first time over the Rs. 370 Biryani controversy.
A while back, Starvik Design dropped an alleged Google chat conversation with their former employee, Himanshu Jangra. The Haryana resident came under public scrutiny soon after the clip showing his Rs. 370 Biryani remark surfaced online. During the conversation with Starvik Design, Himanshu mentioned that for the last two weeks his condition has been pretty worse. He shared that he never expected to receive so much hate. Himanshu stated that people have been trolling him on Instagram, and his neighbours also came up to complain about the controversy. He was quoted as saying:
"Condition bohot worse hai. Pichle do hafton se bohot zyada troll ho raha hoon Instagram pe. Ek hafto tak kisiko pata nahi tha, mere family mein, mere hometown mein. Mereko expectations nahi thi ki mein itna zyada troll, itna zyada hate milega mereko iss cheez ke liye. As pas ke neighbours ghar ake ke bata diya ki, apka ladka aise aise bol raha hai video mein, yeh bohot sharam ki baat hai. Ghar walon ne daanta samjhaya."
During the same conversation, Himanshu revealed that his condition became worse after he lost his job due to the controversy. Himanshu stated that his family is tense as he lost his job. He opened up about the FIR case and shared that he got the notice. The Haryana resident admitted that after seeing his family, he is very much regretful for his actions. He was quoted as saying:
"Yeha tak phir bhi theek tha, ghar wale utna tense nahi par unhe jab pata chala ki mereko job se nikal diya gaya, toh woh bohot zyada tensed ho gaye. Aur ab toh mere upar ek case ho gaya, mereko notice diya gaya hai. Bohot zyada worse condition hai. Mein bohot zyada tensed hoon. Ghar walon ko dekhta hoon toh bohot regret hota hai, lagta hain kyu gaya woh show mein."
Further in the conversation, Himanshu clarified that the story he said on Pranit More's comedy show was not fully true. According to Himanshu, it was an improvised version for entertainment purposes only. He revealed that once he had dated a girl and they had a very good time together. He admitted that the words he used on the show were wrong. He publicly apologised for his misogynistic remark. He was quoted as saying:
"Meine jo story batayi, usmein jo ladki ki baat kar raha hoon mein… Ha mein ek ladki ho date kiya tha, matlab humari achhi kafi baat hui, kaafi achhi bonding thi, kaafi achhi time spent kiya. Par meine jo show pe bataya woh totally true nahi tha matlab woh ek improvise karke mein story batayi thi. Meri kismat kharab thi, logo ko mera remark hi trigger kiya mostly. Mein manta bhi hoon, mere kuch words, galat words use kiya the. Mein uske liye sorry chahta hoon."
