One of the top contenders of the show, Harshad Chopda, was reportedly eliminated after he was named the first finalist for the finale. The surprising twist shocked fans, who have been rooting for Harshad.
In a previous episode, Shreya Kalra won a special power during a task, after which she chose to eliminate Shivangi from the game. After Shreya announced her decision, Harshad didn’t approve of Shreya’s decision. Riteish then offered him an immediate choice.
He told Harshad that he could make Shivangi a finalist right away and leave the show with him. Soon, he sacrificed his own place in the competition and saved Shivangi. Before walking out, Harshad made Shivangi the first finalist. As soon as Harshad was evicted, social media users started bashing Shivangi for being mean towards him. Many users pointed out how she manipulated the actor.

The earlier episode had begun with a task to decide the season’s first finalist. The contestants had to unanimously choose one person to move closer to the finale. At the beginning, Shreya secured a special advantage, while Yogesh surprised the house by accepting Rs 10 lakh without having to leave the competition.
On the other hand, Laila, Shilpa Shinde, Ram Kapoor and Akanksha Chamola voluntarily stepped out of the race, leaving only Harshad and Shivangi in the cell. During a conversation, Shivangi told Harshad that if winning the game was written in her destiny, the trophy would find its way to her. She also urged Harshad not to sacrifice his game for her.
Ever since Harshad and Shivangi became a part of Lock Upp 2, they have been each other's constant support. Many co-contestants pointed out their relationship. However, when Shilpa Shinde called them lovers, Harshad lost his cool and clarified that he only sees Shivangi as a friend.
In one of the episodes of the show, the actor was supposed to reveal a childhood secret of his life, and he revealed how he was abused by someone who was trusted by his parents and the whole community. Revealing his traumatic ordeal, Harshad said:
“I was around 9-10 years old. Our parents tend to trust other people with their children. Once they had left me with some trusted people, who were not only trusted by the family but by the whole community. As a child, I was a little submissive. In the night, someone was rubbing himself on me. I was fully dressed it was just that someone was on top of me and rubbing.”
In the same conversation, Harshad also stated that he was so scared of the incident that he couldn’t fathom what was happening to him. The actor also stated that the man in question would often do something that, for him as a child, was difficult to understand. In his words:
“I acted like I was sleeping. I have never told anyone about this before because I didn't even know what had happened. My pet name is Monu. He called me to the balcony to show me something, and he had to lift me. Then again, he was picking me up and doing something which again I did not understand. I did not know how to question. I was scared.”
