In a recent interview, Hansika Motwani's estranged sister-in-law, Muskaan Nancy James, opened up about her situation after Hansika filed for divorce from Sohael Kathuriya.
Hansika Motwani is currently hogging the limelight for her personal life. For the unversed, Hansika filed for divorce from her husband, Sohael Kathuriya, in March 2026. It is worth mentioning that the couple had been living separately since 2024. Amid the divorce drama, Hansika’s estranged sister-in-law, Muskaan Nancy James’ cryptic notes grabbed a lot of attention. While social media users guessed that Muskaan allegedly targeted Hansika, she set the record straight. In a recent interview, Muskaan shared that she is fed up with the questions about Hansika and Sohael’s divorce.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Hansika Motwani’s estranged sister-in-law, Muskaan Nancy James, called the situation overwhelming. Muskaan shared that after Hansika filed for divorce from her husband, Sohael, she had been receiving a lot of calls and messages to comment on the development. Muskaan stated that she really got fed up with the DMs and tags. She mentioned that she doesn’t want to involve herself in anyone’s life as her own divorce is underway. For the uninitiated, Muskaan is currently separated from Hansika’s brother, Prashant Motwani. Muskaan was quoted as saying:
"After Hansika’s divorce, I started getting a lot of calls and messages to comment on the development. On social media also I started getting a lot of DMs and tags, and people started this is karma for Hansika. I really got fed up. Honestly, I don’t want to involve myself in anyone else’s life. My divorce is underway. And I am on a healing journey. I was getting calls and messaged for comments, I was fed up so I wrote the message on Stories."
In the same interview, Muskaan opened up about her divorce from Prashant Motwani. Muskaan shared that she has been harassed and tortured by the Motwani family and thus doesn’t want to associate with them. Muskaan stated that she has filed a divorce along with a domestic violence case against her husband, her sister-in-law and her mother-in-law. Muskaan added that she is still suffering and is on a healing journey. She was quoted as saying:
"I have been harassed and tortured by this family and I don’t want to associate with them anymore. I am therefore seeking divorce and has file a DV case against my husband, his sister and mother. I hope my divorce puts an end to the ordeal. I am still suffering and on a healing journey."
On March 13, 2026, Muskaan took to her Instagram Stories and reacted to the media associating her with the actress. She expressed her gratitude to the media for being supportive and understanding. She added that time would reveal the truth behind Hansika and Sohael’s divorce. She was quoted as saying:
"Requesting a few social media platforms to please keep me away from someone else's life. You have always been supportive and understanding. And I truly appreciate that. Kindly don't associate me with someone's absolutely fake world. I don't have paid PR, let time reveal the truth. 'Sab samay ka khel hai', peace, love and karma."
Hansika and Sohael tied the knot in December 2022 at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur. The grand wedding was even broadcast as a series on JioHotstar. However, after one year of marriage, there was trouble in Hansika and Sohael’s paradise. Speculations of trouble in marital paradise started when Hansika removed several videos and photos with her husband, Sohael.
