Hailee first announced her pregnancy in her Substack newsletter, marking her 29th birthday. She shared the happy news by including a video in which the singer could be seen standing in the snow while cradling her growing baby bump. Soon after, her husband, Josh, kissed her stomach. The couple was seen smiling and posing together. Hailee also wore a special fleece sweater for the occasion, which read "mother" across the front. The heartwarming clip ended with the camera panning out to show the adorable couple holding hands in front of a tiny snowman.
Shortly after their newsletter announcement, Hailee and Josh shared the same video on their official Instagram accounts in a collaborative post. No sooner did they announce the news on the social media platform than their post saw an outpour of love and support from fellow celebrities. The Buffalo Bills quarterback himself took to the comments first to write a sweet "I love you." Model, Gigi Hadid, unable to hide her excitement at the news, commented, "Omg yaaaaaayyyy." Stranger Things star, Millie Bobbie Brown, who herself started her journey as a mother earlier this year, commented, "OH MY GODDDDD HAILS!!!!!" Game of Thrones alum, Sophie Turner, also reacted in a similar manner, writing, "Oh my god haileeeeeeeee."
In addition to them, Hailee also received support from her fellow WAG, Christen Goff, the wife of Detroit Lions quarterback, Jared Goff. Addressing the couple wrote, "So so so happy for you guys." Hailee's brother, Griffin Steinfeld, also took to the comment section to join the celebration and wrote, "Uncle Griff clocking in."
Hailee sparked romance rumours with Josh when the two stepped out for dinner in NYC following Josh's breakup with longtime girlfriend, Brittany Williams. The duo did not take long to confirm what everyone had been suspecting, two months later, while kissing on their vacation in Mexico.
In March 2024, almost a year after the couple first sparked romance rumours, Hailee and Josh made a rare social media appearance. They did this while helping his sister, Nicola Madden, reveal the gender of her baby in a sweet TikTok video.
