In an interview with PEOPLE in 2025, Colt Ford described the months after the heart attack as a major reset. He said he was focused on rehab, including daily cardio, and was approaching his health with a new mindset. Colt called the recovery his “comeback moment” and said the health scare changed his perspective on touring and work.
During his conversation with PEOPLE, Colt credited Megan for encouraging him during that period and noted that she had bought him a treadmill that he uses regularly. In the same conversation, he reflected on surviving the health scare and said he wanted to use the second chance he was given to do something positive.
