Bad Bunny is in the spotlight for his Super Bowl halftime show, as he is the first-ever Spanish musician to perform at the NFL. During his 15-minute showdown, Bunny made sure to leave a lasting mark on the audience. The Puerto Rican rapper’s halftime show was a large dance party packed with celebrity cameos. Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba, and Karol G joined him onstage to dance along to his tracks.

During his performance, a poignant move by Bunny made him the centre of much discussion now. The rapper tore through the sugarcane field set up surrounded by pulsating dancers and briefly bent down to a small boy. The young boy in question was shown watching the exact moment Bad Bunny won the Grammy a week ago. And here Bunny bent towards the boy and handed his Grammy to the little boy.

Many pointed out that the rapper attempted to show his support for younger generations by handing over his Grammy as an inspirational gesture. On the other hand, many felt it was a political move. One of the X users wrote:

“The little boy, Bad Bunny, gave the Grammy to resemble Liam Ramos. Wouldn’t be surprised is it was intentional.”

Did Bad Bunny hand his Grammy to Liam Ramos, the boy detained by ICE?

After the visuals of Bad Bunny’s halftime act giving his Grammy to a little boy made their way, many argued that the little boy in question is not Liam Ramos. For the unversed, Liam Ramos is the little five-year-old boy who was taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in January, while walking to his home from school in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. However, it was not Liam, and many publications incorrectly reported that Liam was the boy in Bad Bunny’s performance. However, The Hollywood Reporter can confirm that Liam was not featured in Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime performance.

Bad Bunny left an impactful message with his Super Bowl halftime performance

At the end of Bad Bunny’s spectacular show, the Levi’s Stadium screens ignited with the message, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” The rapper, while concluding his show, held a football in his hand with the words, “Together, We Are America.” Bunny was hailed by his fans for putting up such a brave message.

Not only with his latest performance, but Bad Bunny has previously, while receiving the 2026 Grammy Awards, also remarked, “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out.” During his acceptance speech for best musica urbana album, he stated:

“We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens, we are humans and we are Americans,” he continued. “The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people. We love our family, and that’s the way to do it with love. Don’t forget that, please. Thank you.”
