Naturally, the anticipation is always on the higher side, and just imagine the level of excitement when the wedding is of a public figure. No, we are not only talking about Bollywood celebs and cricketers, but also politicians and businessmen. Such is the case with one politician, and we are talking about former civil aviation minister, Praful Patel. On March 14, 2018, Praful Patel’s daughter, Poorna Patel got engaged to industrialist Namit Soni. Namit is the Managing Director of Namco Industries Private Limited. Quite obviously, every wedding function of Poora Patel and Namit Soni would be high end.
And guess what? It truly was! Yesterday, i.e. July 19, 2018, witnessed Poora and Namit’s sangeet ceremony. Celebrities like MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and his wife, Hazel Keech, Nushrat Bharucha, Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge, Natasha Poonawalla, Karan Tacker, Anu Malik, and many others graced the occasion.
However, the one who caught our attention the most was MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni’s daughter, Ziva Dhoni. Looking like a little princess, Ziva was the show stopper in her orange-white lehenga! Isn’t this cuteness overloaded? Well, Ziva Dhoni is everyone’s favourite and her pics and videos on social media go viral in no time. Ziva was born on February 6, 2015, but sadly, MS wasn’t in India then. Recounting that moment, he revealed in an interview, “When she was born I was not in India, had not seen her. It was a tough period. Your life does change with the kind of smile the baby gives you. She doesn't care whether I play for my country or play for a good franchise like Chennai. He further added, “It gives a very good feeling. You know, the first willing hug from my daughter’s side came only in the last 15 days! I’m enjoying that and it’s actually a special moment — now she recognises me, and tries to interact with me. But since she’s spent way more time with her mom, she often calls me ‘mama’ instead of ‘papa’! But I’ve somehow learnt to make my peace with that”.
Coming back to Poorna Patel, and now that we are talking about MS Dhoni, it must be mentioned here that former Indian captain’s fellow player in Chennai Super Kings, Suresh Raina was once linked up with Poorna! Yes, the two were snapped together many times and suddenly the rumours mills started to churn. The two never expected this rumour and in fact, a few months later Suresh Raina announced his marriage to Priyanka Choudhary.
